Absolutely beaming right now.. first time I actually feel like we 'pulled together' at the right time and have a team that could actually have a deep run this year.

Couple of things that stood out:
- Offence looked really bad those first two series.. but they WENT BACK to the run, quick throws and found a way to find a groove.. that was important
- Dak played very very very well.. after the first sack he started getting the ball out faster and he used his legs. QB runs are not about speed but rather about keeping the D honest.
- We played a balance of run and pass.. and made sure that we took what TB Defence gave us.. rather than trying to "impose" our will. They doubled CeeDee so we hit more of Hilton/Gallup.. they then pushed safeties higher and then we started hitting the TEs. Very smart play calling and scheme design.
- The defence was amazing. Those first two stops were critical.. our offence looked lethargic and had the defence given up a long drive and points.. I really feel it could have felt like "same old, same old" and the result could have been different. Instead Micah was everywhere.. and they showed they were hungry. The stayed aggressive all first half and keeping TB scoreless was exceptional. Yes Diggs gave up some yards.. but I think he was trying to play a more 'contain' type role rather than ball hawk and that stopped the TB - Mike Evans long bomb and quick score that could have given Tampa Bay a boost. Overall we kept pressure on brady all game and I really thought this game was won by our defence. Exceptional effort.
- LVE cops a lot of flak on here.. but it was noticeable to have him back. Defence looked a heck more organised and LVE was crucial on several plays. Dude has injury issues and hasn't progressed into the superstar I thought he might.. but he is a very good player and important to our structure.
- The run game stood up when it counted. It was a tough day for runners.. but in the end our run game was a key difference between the offences.. I love that we kept at the run.. and even when we were getting stuffed early.. we tried a few wrinkles like using Dak, a couple of short tosses.. we got Pollard into the game.. on both his long runs it should be noted that Zeke was out front blocking.. and it was the zeke threat that allowed the Dak untouched TD.. the entire TB defence sucked into that fake.. it was almost a season long set up play. Brilliant execution. There is no doubt that Pollard is our RB1.. but I still thought Zeke offered enough to justify him suiting up.
- The receivers all worked as a group and I thought kept giving Dak options. All receivers picked up key receptions with sure hands and that gives Dak confidence. Special note to Hilton who has made a big impact in 5 weeks.

And finally to the front office.. first time in a long time that some of our 'in season' trades have worked out and paid off. Our recruiting class last year and this year have been exceptional. This squad looks as balanced as I've seen in the last 20 years. I still don't think it is complete.. I think we are missing a few pieces.. and I am still not sold on Dak (despite his huge day today) but first time I actually have belief that EITHER our offence or defence could win/save a game for us.

My only concerns were our run defence against SF next week.. Maher's kicking.. and whether Dak can sustain that level of bus driving for another week or will he want to go ego again.

So bloody happy and that is a couple of HUGE monkeys off the back in beating Brady and an away play off win... Next week will be epic. Also.. how strong is the NFCEast? 3 out of 4 live teams.. yikes. If we can beat SF.. it is going to be an epic rivalry showdown.. one can dare to dream.

Beating Brady for the first time (on the road to boot) feels pretty damn good, not gonna lie. Dominant performance too, fully deserved and Dak (among others) was excellent. I really didn't expect that game to be that one-sided, they surprised me in a good way.

So yeah, if they beat SF next Sunday then it's easily the best season I've seen in my life too (I'm 32) but if they lose, it'll just be another 2007, 2009, 2014, 2016, 2018... A good/very good regular season with little to show for it in the end. Don't get me wrong, I'd be ecstatic if they finally take the next step this time around but on the other hand, I really don't want to build my hopes up and end up feeling like trash again... Gotta keep my expectations low for now, better for my mental health lol. Still super happy about tonight's win though and I intend to enjoy it all week.

Cowboys! :starspin:

I know that it was a Tampa Bay team with a losing record. However, I'm 30 years old. The last time we won a road playoff game, I was not even a month old yet. I never thought I'd see us beat Tom Brady. If nothing else happens this season, I am beyond happy and proud of the Cowboys this season. Honestly, I am just so happy at the moment. I've sat through disappointing season after disappointing season. I've had moments where I've wondered if I'd ever see success. And now, I've seen the Cowboys this season do things that I've never seen before as I started watching in the 1999/2000 season. This has so far been the best season that I've had as a Cowboys fan. I hope we beat San Francisco. I'd love to see where we go from there. However, like I said, if nothing else, I am just beyond happy.

As a young fan, this feels so nice to finally be starting to see success. Thank you Dak for choosing tonight to be the best game of your career. Thank you Mike for a brilliantly coached game (same to all the coaches). Thank you to the players, and the FO. Especially Jerry. Let's beat San Francisco to finally let me be able to see us in an NFCC and hopefully beyond. I am just so happy right now. My excitement is unimaginable right now. This is the best season I've watched yet with the Cowboys.
Ah...I remember what that felt like in the 70's and again in the 90's. I'm actually jealous because I miss feeling like that anymore. As for next week, I'm hoping for the best and expecting the worst because we've been here before.

Maybe if we win next week I'll recapture some of my youth.

Oh...a word of warning..,

if we win next week you will NEVER be as nervous as you will be for a Championship game. Not even a Super Bowl..

Championship games will put a knot in your stomach for a week..

I appreciate you young fans. You guys have had it rough. I've been around for 48 years. 70s and the 90s solidified my fanhood. But you young guys are true blue sticking with the team post 95. But with that being said I feel this is the most satisfying win for me in the last 10-15 years.
1. We beat Brady.
2. We won on the road
3. We had 2 or 3 penalties, maybe less. We were disciplined and prepared to play.
4. Dak played elite ball. Love him or hate him, if you can't admit he played like an elite QB then you're blinded by agenda. If Dak plays like this we're very hard to beat. He did it on the road and against the Cowboys' boogeyman Brady.

Beating Brady in what might be his last game is the best I've felt since beating the Steelers in '95 Super Bowl. Tonight is the best I've felt about the Cowboys in a very long time. Let's enjoy brother.

Go Cowboys!!!!

Right there with you @RustyBourneHorse. I am twice your age and became a Cowboys fan in 78/79 so I experienced some of the championship years. But in a way it's worse when you know what you're missing like I do. I really hope the Cowboys win a Super Bowl soon (this February would be nice) so that your generation can get a taste of what we all miss so much and my generation can relive that pride and glory. It's long overdue.

I was less than a year call, and 26 years old. I'm now a 30+ year call as a lawyer and 56

That would be so amazing if we can pull that off and win the SB this year. I'd be even happier if we did that.

I have would imagine that it'd be intimidating. Especially knowing that if we were to win, we'd be going to the Super Bowl.
