With Romo, we needed a gaffe from a 2-time SB champion QB and HC... and an amazing drive to score to win with 7 seconds on the clock.
Plus, we had everyone but Hardy on the field for that game.... the Giants are always a tough out.

We did not have Ro. And Lee hadn't played a game in over a year. Gregory also went out that game. Dez was also in and out of the game until he was out for good.

Also saying "we had everyone but Hardy" (while inaccurate as i've shown) is kind of silly right? Hardy might be the best defensive end in football. He's certainly in the conversation. That's no small subtraction.

Also if you recall we were dominating the Giants everywhere but the scoreboard due to some self inflicted wounds. Romo had two god awful interceptions...one when Williams ran the wrong route and another I believe when Dez fell down. We also had the Lance Dunbar lost fumble. All in all we won that game while losing the turnover battle 3 to 0.

We are miles better than this Giants team. Don't let the close score from week 1 fool you.

Pretty much everyone?
No Hardy, No McClain, Greagory goes out, trying to adjust without Scandrick, A few other players not at 100% on Defense.
On Offense, basically no Dez, OL not 100%, Was this when Leary went out with groin pull, Martin neck injury, Smith pec, OL no time together in TC. RB adjustment.
This was like a PS game for the team, because of the coaches stubbornness to play them in PS.

And as you said, Giants are always tough.
However I do not expect this game to be a pushover for us. I am hoping the D plays like we want them to play to set up our offesne in good field position, as we do ont know how they will look with Cassel.

I am going to do it!

I am CALLING THE SHUTOUT!

DALLAS 24
Giants 0

Going out on a limb there.
I'll be looking for you washed up on shore somewhere because the Cowboys aren't winning in a shutout. Not sure what you've seen to make you go out on that limb...I mean plank. Not saying the Cowboys aren't going to win but the Giants will put some points on the board.

Let me know if you need more people for that search party lol.

As you know, Dallas dominated that game though....and we didn't have Hardy or McClain on defense.
Two fluke turnovers gave the Giants life.

Look people, the OP was just having some fun.

Why some feel the need to get all lathered up about a fun (though a bit crazy) prediction, is beyond me....especially one in our favor.

And Gregory was gone for most of the second half if I remember correctly as well as Dez.

Yep.

People forget that New York basically had ZERO offensive touchdowns--unless someone wants to give them the 1 play, 1 yard TD after the interception/fumble to Street.

Dallas dominated. It's amazing that NY could have won it.

If there were no such thing as turnovers then I could see a shutout.

But the Cowboys are going to hand them a couple of cheap ones.

The ball hasn't been bouncing our way for a while, but those things tend to even out over time, especially when the D is laying the wood on Eli.:)

Not sure about a shutout, but I think we'll get a few turnovers and win a relatively low-scoring game.

this game and tampa is the best chance to get wins before tony gets back

Don't discount the Eagles. I wouldn't bet money on the Cowboys but it does seem like our defense really does have that offenses number and truthfully, besides the Thanksgiving game last season, we have always matched up well with them. Never know what to expect when they have a turnover machine at QB.

Seahawks? If our defense plays well, we can keep the game a close, low scoring game and give us a chance. This is not the Seahawks team of old. In no way do I expect us to go 4-0, I would be happy with 2-2 but I am not convinced any of the next 4 games are going to be easy wins for our opponents.

I would look for the Giants to copy the Saints game plan. Short ball control passing game. They are not as bad as they looked last week.

Please put the prediction into your sig and keep it there.
I don't think it's possible for the Cowboys defense to dominate. Hardy might be the best player in the game for the Cowboys and he was not there in game 1. Gregory might be the most talented player on the team and he was injured during that game. Lawrence has really come on the past 2 games. White has replaced Patmon as the slot CB and that seems to be an upgrade. Jones played 97% of the snaps last week and they appear to be strong against the pass when he is in the game. RoMc is back now and he was terrific in the Pats game. The defense seems to be near 100% healthy now other that Scandrick obviously.

The only chance they have to keep the score low is for the offense to avoid any turnovers.

The Cowboys did really well against the Pats short ball control offense in the 1st half.

The Giants will likely copy the Pats and Saints in terms of running picks plays repeatedly. Hopefully the Cowboys spent a lot of time on defense working on a way to combat the pick plays.
