I asked a question last week, can anyone now explain?

Last week I posed the question about Wittens blow up on the sideline being excepted, but if TO or Key did it it would be all over the news. Its mighty funny how only the Dallas media caught wind of the wWitten blow up, but Key/Bledsoes altercation got all of our highlite time. So now I ask again, why does the media try to blow up anything and everything that Key or TO or Moss does, but they don't mention the likes of Keving Greene choking his coach, or Witten blowing up on the team? I'm all for the WIC (WITTEN IS a CANCER) bandwagon. Where the hell were the cameras last week on Witten?

Witten yelled at no one in particular at the sidelines. Keyshawn got into the QB's face, screamed his lungs out, had to be pulled away by coaches and teammates, and then while Payton was holding him back, tried to push Sean out of the way to get in more talk.

Please tell me you can spot the difference.

I'm sure if your gunna dig deep enough theres always gunna be something there. If Witten freaks out and tries to get at Bledsoe it would have been a big deal. Bledsoe was in the wrong today.....Key just let his actions get out of hand...no big deal.

Johnson-Bledsoe spat no big deal

11:39 PM CDT on Sunday, October 9, 2005

By TODD ARCHER / The Dallas Morning News

IRVING – Keyshawn Johnson knows what everybody is thinking.

"There he goes again," Johnson said, heading off the postgame media crush at his locker Sunday following the Cowboys' 33-10 win against Philadelphia.

The Cowboys' receiver knows his in-game disagreement with quarterback Drew Bledsoe will be replayed over and over, just like his tirade against former coach Jon Gruden in Tampa Bay a few years ago.

It's what happens when you're where every bit of body language and facial expression are analyzed. Jason Witten's mini-explosion last week at Oakland received only minimal attention.

This was, however, good theater, especially given the history between Philadelphia's Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens across the field.

"We're not the other people in that other locker room," Johnson said. "We don't let it get to that. For real. We're not mad at each other. It's not, 'Keyshawn vs. Drew,' or 'Keyshawn doesn't like Drew,' or 'Cowboys' camp: There's a problem.' "

The Cowboys had a commanding 30-3 lead at the time. Facing third down at the Philadelphia 24, Bledsoe threw short to Johnson near the Eagles' sideline.

Cornerback Lito Sheppard popped the ball free, and Sheldon Brown returned the fumble 75 yards for Philadelphia's only touchdown with 1:12 left in the third quarter.

"At that point, I felt like we were manhandling them, and to turn the ball over in that situation, I wasn't happy," Bledsoe said. "I said something. He fired back at me. It was one of those things that was over in 30 seconds."

Johnson didn't back down. He uttered several expletives and had to be restrained by receivers coach Todd Haley. Johnson then went to coach Bill Parcells.

"I'm not the type of guy to point a finger, so I don't want anybody saying anything to me," Johnson said. "There's situations where balls are bouncing at your feet and you don't say anything. ... We had some words on the sidelines, but whether it was a coach or a player when there's a negative play, you don't want to hear it."

On the Cowboys' next possession, Bledsoe patted Johnson on the back, and Johnson reciprocated.

So much for the controversy.

Witten does not have a history of blowing up on sideleines or having altercations with the coaching staff or other players. If you're leaning towards race being a factor, I'd offer Jeremy Shockey as an example of someone who's blowups are regularly featured and sensationalized on ESPN and other networks.

Yeah if TO had done what Witten did last week and NOTHING ELSE throughout his entire Career NO ONE would say a bad thing about him. If Witten were to start acting like TO on a regular basis then people will consider him an a** as well.

Nice little dig by Key about Bledsoe's short throws. :D
