IRVING – Keyshawn Johnson knows what everybody is thinking.
"There he goes again," Johnson said, heading off the postgame media crush at his locker Sunday following the Cowboys' 33-10 win against Philadelphia.
The Cowboys' receiver knows his in-game disagreement with quarterback Drew Bledsoe will be replayed over and over, just like his tirade against former coach Jon Gruden in Tampa Bay a few years ago.
It's what happens when you're where every bit of body language and facial expression are analyzed. Jason Witten's mini-explosion last week at Oakland received only minimal attention.
This was, however, good theater, especially given the history between Philadelphia's Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens across the field.
"We're not the other people in that other locker room," Johnson said. "We don't let it get to that. For real. We're not mad at each other. It's not, 'Keyshawn vs. Drew,' or 'Keyshawn doesn't like Drew,' or 'Cowboys' camp: There's a problem.' "
The Cowboys had a commanding 30-3 lead at the time. Facing third down at the Philadelphia 24, Bledsoe threw short to Johnson near the Eagles' sideline.
Cornerback Lito Sheppard popped the ball free, and Sheldon Brown returned the fumble 75 yards for Philadelphia's only touchdown with 1:12 left in the third quarter.
"At that point, I felt like we were manhandling them, and to turn the ball over in that situation, I wasn't happy," Bledsoe said. "I said something. He fired back at me. It was one of those things that was over in 30 seconds."
Johnson didn't back down. He uttered several expletives and had to be restrained by receivers coach Todd Haley. Johnson then went to coach Bill Parcells.
"I'm not the type of guy to point a finger, so I don't want anybody saying anything to me," Johnson said. "There's situations where balls are bouncing at your feet and you don't say anything. ... We had some words on the sidelines, but whether it was a coach or a player when there's a negative play, you don't want to hear it."
On the Cowboys' next possession, Bledsoe patted Johnson on the back, and Johnson reciprocated.
So much for the controversy.
