First down and all short yardage downs should have both of them at DT. Bohannon is a little more than a JAG but not much; I had hope for him due to his physical measurements but sadly another case of look like Tarzan play like Jane.
Bellychickens often plays two NT's at the same time.

Darn right it's delusional to defend Quinn and fans defending Quinn's decisions when our D gets gashed for over 200 yards rushing in back-to-back games (a franchise record) and 150+ yards rushing for 4 games straight! Yet, the Commanders held the Eagles to under 100 yards and gave them Eagles their first loss of the season AT THEIR HOME! Meanwhile, we lost to the Eagles at their place while giving up 136 rushing yards earlier this season. That's when our D started the weekly streak of getting rushed upon for easily over 100 yards every game. You're happy about that? You want to defend Quinn over that?

of course not. but john ridgeway wasn’t the answer. valid criticism is welcome and agreed upon.

sadly this isn’t true

“In their past two games, the Cowboys have allowed 240 yards (Chicago Bears) and 207 yards (Green Bay Packers) on the ground. It is just the third time in the past 20 seasons the Cowboys have allowed at least 200 yards rushing in consecutive games (Weeks 6-7 in 2020 and Weeks 10 and 12 around their Week 11 bye in 2013).”

And they still don't quite understand that this "Rushmen" idea at both DT spots doesn't work.

I mean, it's OK for fans to believe the running game and RB's don't matter anymore, but it's pure idiocy for an NFL GM to buy into that ludicrous notion. Mostly, teams who can run the ball are the ones in the super bowl. Yes, not last year, the aberration year.

QB's like Brady accomplish the same effect w/ short passes that run the clock and gas the opposing D.

Mahomes lost his last super bowl due to the inability/unwillingness to play/understand the short game.

Believing is an act of faith with the absence of evidence.

They have not played since they gave up 200 yards rushing for the second week in a row. What concerns me about this run D is that they knew exactly what GB was going to do, they were not any better prepared than that to stop that RB tandem.

This D is really overly dependent on the talent of one player but his talent isn't playing off the ball LB against the run, which is exactly where every HC and OC is going to want him.

We know how well the Cowboys can play defense when they can turn Parsons loose but how well can they play team defense when he's not wreaking havoc in the backfield?

The Eagles and Packers have frustrated Parsons, can his DC prevent further frustration and implement his considerable talent? So goes Parsons, so goes that defense.

Parsons was hurt last game. Hence, the position change

Suh could’ve helped us in the middle for the rest of the year but instead we let the Eagles in their middle even more.

Your best pass rush shouldn’t come from your two new acquisitions, but that’s precisely what is taking place in Indianapolis for the Eagles.

Philadelphia secured their first sack of the afternoon against Matt Ryan and the Colts when Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh combined for the six-yard loss.

Since early LAST year, this defense has prided itself on rushing the passer. DQ has constructed the defense all about rushing the passer. And why not with players like Parsons, DLaw and the rest of the defensive ends? They’re deep with pass rushers. Then 2022 started and teams quickly learned that hell yeah, the Cowboys can rush the passer. That’s what they focus on. That’s what they live by. So we’ll just run the ball at them. And it worked. And Dallas hasn’t adjusted. They have continued to base their defense on rushing the QB.

Post Green Bay game.

Finally, we’re hearing that not only the players, but the coaches have realized that basing your defense on rushing the passer ain’t working. We’ve heard from Quinn. We’ve heard from Parsons. We’ve heard from Kearse and we’ve heard from others that things have changed. True, we have a great pass rushing defense, but unless we stop the run on 1st and 2nd downs to force a passing situation, we’re gonna lose. Our pass rushing defense means squat unless we do so. For the first time EVER, the Cowboys have given up back to back over 200 yards rushing. Any defense that can’t stop the run is more than likely gonna lose I don’t care who you have at QB.

Quinn should’ve realized this earlier. That’s on him for not doing so. He has told the team now finally to stop the run on 1st and 2nd downs. They’re still 6-3 and in the thick of things. Many here have quit. Given up. Shame on you.

Turning point game. They focused on stopping the run first. Bodes well going forward.

i know lol. that was the entire premise. how you feel after tonight? fans and quinn’ still idiots?
Finally stopped the run, albeit the Vikings are more a passing team. Cook still averaged 6.8 yards/carry, but holding him to less than 75 yards was very good. Let's hope Dan Quinn can keep this up.

Yep stop the run and get teams to third down.

If teams want to try and throw on first and second down to take advantage of that then so be it. Your not only getting them out of their game, your letting our opportunistic secondary take advantage.

LOL, I'm sure Parsons is going to get a good old fashion ribbing for letting Cousin's get off a pass when all he had to do was hold onto the QB! LOL!
