I believe the problem is Jerry Jones

Man, losing sucks, I agree. But who are we blaming next? An accountant in the team's merchandising dept? Anyone that wants to put this on Jerry needs their head examined. Jerry wants this team to win more than anyone. And yes, even more than us...

Freakin :hammer:

I get frustrated with Jerry like most, but his heart is there and he wants to win. He's impoved greatly as a GM and has to now be considered as a good GM. His next hire will tell the story.

This team has had the same lack of focus for 10 years + now. What is the common theme in the organization throughout those years? Jerry Jones, that's what. Football is not the primary focus with this organization. It's always intermingled with marketing and his interaction with the players. Until Jerry completely gets out of the football side of this franchise, we will continue as a rudderless ship on the way to nowhere like we are now. And that's the TRUTH.

You know what man. I really am pissed off with Jerry Jones. He really is the reason for the franchise hitting an all time low. Look at the mess that is the Dallas Cowboys and you have to put blame on him. I honestly don’t ever see us winning another Super Bowl.

I often win the "jerry jones medals to much" argument by pointing out that he is the general manager of the team in addition to the owner.

As far as general managers go, he has won more superbowls than almost anyone.

Actually you have to give Jimmy credit for all 3 yes all 3 Superbowl even though he wasnt there for the 3rd one.

All you Jerry lovers on this board know in your heart of hearts that the root problem is Jerry and always has been since the day he sent a back to back winning coach out the door. Ya'll are just in denial because nothing can be done about Jerry.

However deep Jerry is in the football ops or whatever he is doing has done or will do has doomed us, hello people we suck for 10+ years now. I was like ya'll, I believed that Jerry had changed when he hired Bill and he did alittle but not enough, actually I think Jerry has just gotten better at fooling the fans about what he does or does not do, he is a oil man for goodness sakes, that ought to tell you what kind of liar he is part of the time.

I still holdout hope though that one day Jerry will get tired of having a mediocre team and realize that he is a huge part of the problem and change completely and get the right coach and just sit back and let him work, like he did when Jimmy was here.

this is mostly true.

it's sad when a coach's best performance is keeping the owner at bay (ie. joe torre and george stein-grabber -- hmmm).

there were at least 2 seasons with Tuna where we left MILLIONS of cap money unused (especially 2nd year after our playoff birth).

if not for tuna and irelend this ship would be lost in the bermuda triangle jerruh took us to in the mid-90s.

People still trying to blame Jerry Jones for this.

Jerry Jones swallowed his pride and brought in a football guy and relinquished a ton of control.

He gave Parcells everything he wanted high priced Free Agents, ability to bring his old players in, his own staff, his guys etc etc and even got him to let Larry Allen go, one of his favorite players.

If I am a football coach, I would love to work with the Jerry of the Parcells Era.

Jerry Jones has showed alot more emotion than Parcells has.

This one isnt on Jerry Jones.

And that's why he needs to decide to get away from the football side completely. Owners should not have their own radio shows. Owners should not be signing players independent of their own scouting dept. He is not creating an atmosphere at Valley Ranch conducive to focusing on football only and we see the results of this on the field with silly mistakes that cost us games. I just wonder why Parcells puts up with this. It must be the money, because their is no way he would have put up with this when he was with the Giants, Pats or Jets.

Get real man. How about the ****** 90's? He still owned the team we won 3 superbowls. Go look at the Cardinals and tell me what kind of ownership you see. Compare and contrast, if you know how to do this

Jerry is all about the benjamins baby, building the stadium, having celebrity personalities on the team including Bill, all this creates interest.

I can't remember the last time I watched sports center without seeing Jerry, Bill or T.O on it.

Interest creates BIG money for Jerry and he knows they don't have to be elite to make BIG money as long as he has Bill and T.O. here that's why he wants both back.

You know Jerry really loves him some Romo now that he date celebrities, more publicity=more interest=more money in Jethros pocket.

Interest = merchandising = more money = money to FA's signing bonus, stadiums coaches, etc...

Yep if he'll just manage it right and pull the trigger on a young quality coach.

The color blue, that's what. Football is not the primary focus with this organization. It's always intermingled with a color that is often associated with sadness. Until the color blue gets out of the football side of this franchise, we will continue as a rudderless ship on the way to the blue nowhere like we are now. And that is the TRUTH.

Your truth that is about it. Since Jerry took over this franchise we have added 3 titles more than what we had in all the years put together prior to Jerry buying this team

Jerry JOnes is a GREAT Owner dont be a tool.
ROTF.

great owner why? because he has alot of TOOL fans buying merchandise who are easily marketed thanks to his predecessors. only a TOOL would buy a team and pretend to know enough to be GM or involve themselves with football operations.

Jerruh and Al Davis, bookend tools ;)

It is easy to look not focused when your players suck! I agree with ya. There was a good 6 year period where we were not a good football team! Emmitt said it even if he didn't mean to. A diamond in with a bunch of POO POO makes it all look like POO POO!
