I can see this team embracing OBJ

The same way we embraced Amari Cooper, I can see the defensive guys all running over to him after a score or great play to celebrate him. I think it's time to make that move Friday!

Meeting the training staff we have and how Jerry loves to give them credit, he will be on the field in days! Just look at Damone Clark!

Its not my money. We need any edge we can get. We are already the most talented team and odell would put our offense ahead of PHilly.

If we’re gonna sign him put him on the outside in 3 wr sets and move Lamb to the slot. Lamb is a run after catch guy and can play slot more effectively than obj.

Back-to-back ACL tears to the same knee.

Won't be ready to play for weeks.

Shadow of his former self.

Why are we considering this?

All it will take is for OBJ to go deep and catch a TD pass on the first play of his first game here, and every defense will be focusing on him from there on out. Or a deep ball for a score in the first game.

Ready for weeks? Tyron will be ready after Thanksgiving it is projected. Will he, with his chronic back issues, make the team better? Even for a short period of time?

The shadow comment might play better if OBJ didn't look pretty good with the Lambs before he blew out a knee. If his leg caves, so what? He is a rent-a-player.

But the deep threat he portends will be worth every penny when it comes to play calling and clearing out space for the underneath.

What I cannot figure is why you are so opposed to this? Because the alternative is the Giants sign him, and even though Dallas will have beaten them without OBJ on either side on Thursday, he would offer the Giants the same thing he offers Dallas. The possibility of a deep threat that HAS TO BE accounted for.

Because people play too much madden and try to translate it to real world.

I do not now, nor ever have played Madden at all, but use the wrinkly jelly between my ears to think beyond my personal prejudices and see potential and possibilities.

Regardless of my slipshod alliteration.

Not sure I have ever been more torn on a player than OBJ. On one hand this team needs WR depth in the worst way. I'm also not sure I buy into the locker room cancer title he has been given.

On the other I'm not sure I have faith in the guys ability to play right now. He's coming off a significant injury where expectations should be pretty low. Plus I'm just tired of him weighing his options. It's the end of November pick a team and lets go. Instead of waiting on the right team to give you the right deal get in team meetings. Meet with a teams medical staff. Get to know your teammates a little bit. Makes me question priorities a bit.

I guess if OBJ can be OBJ for 5-10 plays a game we may really have something to add to the mix. I'm just skeptical we can expect more than that. What I really hope doesn't happen is the Cowboys give out a multi year deal with anything close to significant money attached to it. If he signs a rental contact that is incentive driven I would take that as a great sign. I want the OBJ who is hungry and feels healthy enough to bet on himself, not the guy looking for security to make a few dollars at the end of his career.

Because even where he is now he will be 2nd or 3rd best wr we have. 1 injury from Gallup or whomever and we have a problem. Plus he makes the defense honest.

Exactly. If he is healthy and financially doesn't ruin the future of this team, I am 100% on board. Watch his 2021 highlights. He catches everything that is remotely close to him and would be another weapon on the field.

If he's so good, why are teams so glad when he leaves?

He's cancer.

I don't like this courtship b/c it is not likely to hep the team this year. So, why add the distraction of a celebrity WR like OBJ and all the expectations to get him the ball? After routing what was the best team in the NFC yesterday on their home field, I don't see why we need to make this move.

The key to this team getting to the Super Bowl is running the ball and that pass rush. Adding a WR like OBJ puts pressure on the play caller to throw more and we don't need that.
