I cannot watch this defense anymore

I'm really trying to understand what I'm looking at. This D is historically bad right? Not sure I've ever seen it in the NFL and I've been watching for a long time. 8-9 yards (or more) on almost every run. Guys just wide open for touchdowns in the endzone. 3rd and 10? Just run a receiver to the first down marker and pitch and catch, no problem. Lining up in the neutral zone pre-snap. It goes on and on.

Ronnie has his thing...and we don't always agree...but he's a good ...sincere..dude.

His instinct is to protect the team and players he's a fan of. Nothing too wrong with that. Criticing this defense like thisis the hardest I've seen him protest.

He goes a TAD bit overboard on Dak...but he's tolerable. :)

Ronnie is only about Dak and i am a fan of the team not any single player

I begin to think that Jerry is in on it, and has been since the 90s.

The NFL did everything it could to prevent Dallas winning 4 in a row. Jerry runs Jimmy off, Free Agency, letting the 49ers cheat the salary cap to sign an all star team, and finally the no call on Deion at the most critical moment of the NFCCG and follow up call on Switzer. Mission accomplished.

Then we have the era of Jerry in full control. 30 years of being a laughing stock for all the Cowboys hate watchers. There's far more of them than there are Cowboys fans so it's more beneficial financially for the NFL to always have them be a laughing stock that just can't ever seem to get out of it's own way.

Then there's all the mysterious, never been called before, ref calls against the Cowboys, and the Dez call where they had to change the rules so that nobody knows what a catch is anymore to justify screwing the Cowboys over in that game. Likewise, the streaks of up to 8 games where opposing teams never got called for holding.

We've been watching WWEFL, and the Cowboys play the part of Doink the Clown.

The defense looks awful. I did some research and found the Cowboys have only forced 25 punts and 4 turnover on downs in 85 possessions by opponents. That's 29 stops. But they have given up 30 TDs and 13 FGs! The scoring percentage against them is over 50%. The TD % against them is over 35%. And Keep in mind 7 of their 29 stops came against the Jets, the banged up Commanders and the Bears.

This defense is unbelievably bad. The percentages were almost the same before the Denver game.

When people say the Cowboys have to score 35 to have a chance to win, they are not exaggerating.

Sean Peyton made fools out of the boys when was with the Saints too. Let’s not ever forget the TD that the Bears scored on the bomb pass when the center sent the ball in air (shot gun) that was higher than Wilt Chamberlain standing on Kareem’s shoulders and still gathered the ball and fired a rifle to a wide open WR.
 
This defense reminds me of the Campo years 2000-2002.

The Cowboys had a CB named Duane Goodrich and a safety named Tony Dixon.

The opponent would throw deep and then you would see Goodrich chasing the receiver into the endzone about two steps behind.

A second later, Dixon would float into the picture. Used to drive me insane.

Because I watch on Firestick I do not have a reliable means of recording. If someone has found one please share it. My Firesticks cannot consistently maintain connection to the USB stick when I use the adapter. I know that's probably Greek to most of yall but those who know will know what I'm talking about. The games are available on demand the following day so I COULD wait until then to watch but I'm afraid I can't wait that long.

As for the "don't let it bother you" crowd.. Please spare me.. If you didn't care at all about the games, the team and the outcome you sure as hell would not be spending your time here talking about it. I love football. It was my first love.. Before girls, money, science or anything else I loved football. Since I was 5 years old I have loved the Dallas Cowboys.. I am not emotionally invested in this particular season because the outcome is already written. With the defense being this bad this season is GOING to end badly.. The only saving grace was being entertained.. and the defense being this bad is even robbing me of that. As I said in the OP.. it causes me physical pain to watch them.

This is maybe the most frustrating aspect of our defense.. Romo pointed it out on the broadcast.. It was 3rd and 10.. what the hell are you doing posted up 15 yards off the ball? Squat at 10 or 11 yards and come up and make the tackle or make a play on the ball. Don't watch the guy curl up right beyond the sticks and THEN try to tackle him. It's like no matter the distance the offense needs, we give more than enough cushion for them to get it.

I have like...four rokus in the house. They all connect great, record great, muliptle useage even from Tampa to Chicago!

If the firestick cannot reliable record....it's dumb to keep it.

Oh...I'm also blessed to have youtube TV and NFL network.
