I cannot watch this defense anymore

I'm no guru...but even if you are high school...you ATTACK the ball. Watching htem play off...or freeze five yards off a ball carrier....is maddening.

This is NOT scheme. I don't believe it's coaching .If you been a football player all your life...you know what to do. Your lifelong instincts and drive kick in.

If you lunge and miss...okay. You got beat. But FREEZE? There's only two options:

1) You scared
2) someone told you to do it.

Why?

Ahhh so Roku can record eh? Thanks for the heads up.. I am going to add one to my stable. Wait.. does it support APKs? For the uninitiated APKs are apps that run on the Chrome OS that runs on most of these TV type devices. Chrome is the underlying OS on almost all of them. It's a Linux derivative that.. .. well never mind.. nobody here needs to know all that.

That's the 11.5 billion dollar question isn't it? Why are we playing just soft enough that the offense damn near always succeeds? What the Sam Hades is going on here!?!?!

Right now...Roku does not do chrome browsers, AFAIK! I think they are either being seriously discouraged:oops:...or paid..not to.:rolleyes:.

It's the ONLY criticism they get.

Try one...pretty cool imho.
 
What really upsets me is, the Mike Zimmer defense was bad, but even if we had that this season Dallas beats the Eagles, Packers, and Panthers and the season looks so much better right now.

All Dallas needs is a "bad" defense. Just one that isn't complete trash; and they would be good.

Google just reminded me that it's Chrome OS but Android that is the OS that all these devices run. However it also told me that Roku runs a proprietary OS call RokuOS which does NOT support APK files. My streaming service requires that I download their APK to run. Gotta search for other options. Anybody here have experience with CODI? I think that's how it's spelled.. Can you record on those? And do they support APKs?

There have been plenty of times in the past where teams got decimated on defense with injuries, but they still looked like an NFL team. What was I looking at on Sunday? This wasn't even a good offense we played. A team the Giants shut out for 3 quarters.

Zimmer's defense was ranked 31st just one season after it was top 5 with Quinn and almost exact same players.

Current rank for this defense is 31st, but with plenty of games left to break new records.

Zimmer is the one that bottomed this thing out, and it hasn't recovered.

Regardless the Cowboys held nine opponents under 28 points last year. If they had done the same so far this season the Cowboys would be 5-3 right now.

I offer you all a stat that shows how stubborn Matt Eberflus, king of the zone defense, is. Bo Nix was 19/29 passing against the Cowboys on Sunday. On those 29 throws, Dallas played zone 19 times and man ten times.

Against zone Nix was 14/19. Against man, which many of us have been begging for, Nix was 5/10 and had a pick.

Granted, he had two TD passes against each coverage, but other factors (LB play, safety injuries) factored there.

They defend a run up the middle on passing plays and allow wide open lanes on running plays.

Seriously, if the other team agreed to only have 10 players on offense, could the Cowboys stop it?

The Cowboys had a CB named Duane Goodrich and a safety named Tony Dixon.

The opponent would throw deep and then you would see Goodrich chasing the receiver into the endzone about two steps behind.

A second later, Dixon would float into the picture. Used to drive me insane.
