I get the hesitation, and I'm not saying that it's our year. But I've noticed we've been quieter. We don't have Parsons hanging around our heads. We don't have a Dak and CeeDee contract battle. It's just been....quiet and focused. That's one of the things I've noticed that feels different.

Is it? So, you haven't noticed that this team is grossly different? You didn't notice our completely different draft and FA? I mean, the whole shebang has done a 190. How do you not see it?

BTW, this is the first time in 30 years that I've thought we had shot. Prolly not this season as we have many young players, but 2027 looks like possible contention.

Yeah, and I think we should be entertaining this year. I love the way the team is built. If we can't win it all this year, I think we should be able to get in position to do it next year. And we actually look like we will have cap space again next year if we manage it right, so we'd probably be a good FA destination.

Worst GM in the N.F.L. has not resigned.

Offense disappeared in the second half against above .500 teams under nepo baby hire Schotty. During the 2025 NFL regular season, the Dallas Cowboys finished 16th in red-zone touchdown efficiency at 56.92%, converting 37 touchdowns on 65 attempts. He remains as head coach.

We've seen QB1 poop the bed in big playoff games when the defense holds the opponent to 19 points and 23 points. We have also seen QB1 with slow starts against above .500 teams and consistently go M.I.A. in the second half against above .500 teams last year. QB1 has not changed.

We heard about the "defense changing" acquisition of Quinnen Williams. The Dallas Cowboys finished the 2025 NFL regular season ranked 23rd in total defense against the run, allowing 125.5 rushing yards per game.

The same weaknesses in O-line depth and d-line depth still exist.

The same cornerbacks who were burnt jelly and toast last year, are returning in their starting roles.

No thumper at LB to disrupt rushing lanes.

O-Line can not run block or pass block at a high level.

Anyone who pays attention to the details knows what's coming. I've already made over $100,000 due to Jerry's ineptitude and not being a sucker. I suspect I will easily double that amount this year.

On one hand it very seriously bothers me that Jerry has apparently successfully lowered the bar to where this is acceptable, but I’m looking forward to not getting constantly punked on defense. Being a little more formidable there and don’t get ***** slapped against a good team on the road, or lose to a meh one.

The offense (and likely the entire season) depends on Dak health, which is tied to the weakest part of the team

The poor rushing defense had more to do with linebackers like Kenneth Murray and Jack Sanborn running away from the play or into the wrong gap in Uber-flush's defense and less to do with Quinnen Williams. He graded out extremely well after joining the Cowboys last season.

Definitely not blaming Quinnen. He is not enough to overcome the ineptitude from the Dallas front office coaching staff hires and draft picks on defense. No one is.

It’s still a bit unbelievable that those two were as bad as they were.

The worst GM in the league(and I agree w/ that) appears to have taken a step back and appears to be letting others make personnel decisions.

Takes more than one player to stop the run.

OL, yes. DL? Really? Man, you are ignoring a ton of acquisitions.

CB is our biggest worry. However, Revel is now a year removed from surgery, and we've acquired several young guys who can play.

Barham looks like a thumper.

OT's can't, not the OL in general.

It just seems more focused because Jerry is closer to death, and someone apparently told Cap Boy just how ugly he really is. The less of the two of them, the more we feel like an actual NFL team.

Honestly, I don't really see it as lowering the bar (albeit, I wouldn't know much better lol). I think it's genuinely fair to say this team is close to being something special. It may already be there this year, but I think they've actually doing a decent job at cap management and with the moves they've made. I can see us being in and/or winning the Super Bowl in the next two to three years of they do things right. Much better than where we were at the last two seasons.
