I can't think of a better OC than Tony Romo

CBS was probably doing damage control. If they didnt have that meeting, they definitely should have. He has been awful this year
....CBS outright said they do this every year with every on-air commentator. It's routine off-season stuff.

And can you point out what made him "awful" with examples? Outside of his d riding Allen? I want actual examples of him consistently making mistakes. Anything else, from tone to personality is subjective.

No thanks...Rome's IQ may be off the charts, but the guy is lazy! He did absolutely ZERO off season work whilst a Cowboy, and often showed up to camp looking like he had gained 20 pounds....the back of his britches looked like he was smuggling a couple bags of flour. Bottom line....he will not put in the time!

No he didn't and this was already brought up in the thread. Why are you pushing a myth?

Lol I see I hit a nerve. I forgot you were a Romo Soldier. He aloof as hell calling games. Its like watching a game with a friend who keeps texting his girlfriend, and looks up every 30 seconds to make a random comment

You got really defensive when I simply asked you to back up your claim - you have a claim from some hack columnist that got shot down by the CBS exec saying they do this every offseason with their on-air talent, you claimed he was terrible, and when I ask you for examples....I am a "Romo soldier"?

Thanks for your input, I guess? And by the way, I think this thread is stupid and don't think Romo should be OC and don't think he ever will be. So much for me being his "soldier". I don't like misinformation being tossed around, especially since there is some serious vitriol for a player that really did nothing to deserve it while he was here.

Your posts have taken a nose dive recently. Fix yourself.

No they havent . Your just saying that to be a ****lol. Its a nice low strike when your 16, but its boring. You haven't been on much anyways. Probably spending time on the chan boards. I doubt you have seen 5 of my posts in 6 months. It matters not, going back to Cowboys-Forum, your posts have historically been garbage, so if actually do think they are slipping I should take thay as a win

The easy hostility when you couldn't back up your claim and were just...wrong is telling. The first two sentences are hardly even coherent.

So let's just get this straight: I have also defended Demarcus Ware, Cole Beasley, and to some extent Dez Bryant when such vitriol and BS was thrown at them. I defend Romo because, as you can see in this thread, people continue to push blatant lies about him. If I spent more time in the NFL zone, I'd be defending a lot of NFL players who get too much undeserved hate.

This hack columnist was wrong. Multiple posters have posted something from 6 years ago that was debunked. And every single time they get called out on it, they get defensive like you are now. As I said, fix yourself.

First two sentences are easy to comprehend if you have elementary reading comprehension. I dont even know why you keep typing these walls of text. Im not even bothering to read them outside the first couple lines. You asked a ridiculous ask that I am not going to oblige. I haven't (like any reasonable person) been cataloging examples of Romo's lazy commentary. Its plain to any watching that he is phoning it in half the time.

If CBS is actually getting tired of Tony Romo, as clickbait titles suggest, then he would be a great voice in the ear of the QB as a QB coach, and probably a top notch offensive coordinator. He loves the game, is a student of the game, and would be tremendously effective at designing plays. Few collarbone injuries in the offensive coordinator world, right?

Yes, the Dak-Romo relationship is probably a bit icy, but that can be a good thing too, both would have to be intentionally professional in their discussions.
Odd, isn't it, tha Romo is in his ascendancy as broadcaster/presumed OC while Dak has peaked and looking at the valley.
Hmmm. Maybe tha was harsh, you ruffians.

1. Troy is not super critical of the Cowboys. He's been pretty honest and down to earth about them. However, when the topic goes to Jerry, he has been critical in the past (which I agree with). As Cowboys fans, we have very thin skin and we need to get over it. We are the reason why SAS and others are millionaires.
2. You can hear the jealousy in Tony's voice? Really? He's got a cushy job, beautiful wife, great kids and expensive things with a huge bank account. I think Tony is doing just fine.
The man’s biggest regret is not reaching winning a superbowl…he 100 percent thinks he had something left in the tank in 2016…

I don’t think you guys are close enough to the beat. In 2016 Romo was so desperate to win the team back he had a house party and invited the whole roster - something he never did in his whole career - just butt buddies with Witt and Coach Red up until that point in their private suites.

All that desperation still led to his butt buddy witt saying that he wanted Dak starting over him - the whole team never had his back

Of course he regrets it. Then he gets out of bed and feels all those permanent pains. Then looks at his huge his house and gorgeous wife and realizes that life aint all that bad...
