I choose to stand behind Cooper Rush until he gives me a reason otherwise

This was the second worst QB performance in cowboy history. Rush is completely incapable of avoiding a pass rush. At least Lance gives us a bootleg option. Neither can throw the ball down field with any accuracy. It is looking like a 3-14 team. We might be the worst team in the NFL right now.

Maybe our best bet is to have Turpin play QB for the rest of the season.

I think we finish 3-14 regardless. The only value right now is letting Lance play and see if he can grow with a lot of reps. I still have hopes of trading him for draft picks..........though the hope fades a little more every time I see him play.
Please explain how you trade someone after the trade deadline that is a Free Agent and no one wants in their team.

He was a million times wrong. He traded for an athlete that he had no business developing into a QB.
I disagree. If we had given SF a 7th rounder, I'd have no issue here. He was the 3rd pick in the draft and SF gave a LOT to get him. He is fast and has a great arm. Trying to reclaim a QB in the wrong system is never a bad idea. We should try more often. Some of these guys like Mayfield , Geno Smith, and Darnold just need seasoning and time.

If we had given the Niners a box of marbles, he is still not a QB. If we traded him for a case of Gatorade we still wasted $5.2M this year.

what's jerry going to do with an extra 5M in cap space? He doesn't do free agency. Your opinion is pure hindsight. Can't manage anything with hindsight. Nobody has a working crystal ball.

It was definitely not hindsight. Maybe for you. I said it 5 minutes after the stupid move.

The Niners made the worst draft trade in NFL history.

It’s a great idea if they’re a free agent and you don’t have to give up draft capital to acquire the QB. Even a 7th round draft pick is too much to give up for a player that has not performed well in the NFL. Carson Wentz was the second guy picked in the draft. He has started over 100 games, has a winning record as a starter. The Chiefs gave up nothing for him to be a reserve QB on their team and he is paid less for the 2024 season than Trey Lance.

Wasting draft capital is always an “issue”, for every NFL team.

7th rounders rarely make the roster. 2 years ago, it wasn't as clear that Lance had as little potential as he showed today. This is all hindsight.

Don't compare us to well managed teams with professional GMs.
