I concede that Pollard is better than Zeke

Pollard is not only better than Zeke, he is our best playmaker on offense.

And a top-five back in the league. That's been the case for a long time but some here just slow to see it.
He had a great day but he is not a top five back in this league wow. Not even close, imo. CMC, Henry, Walker III, Hall, Ekler, Najee, Chubb, Cook, Jones, Jacobs, Hunt, and Mixon...that is twelve right there who are all much better bellcows than Pollard. He had a top five day yesterday but still behind Henry and CMC.

So you are saying that Zeke is calling for Pollard to take the field for a dual rb set from the sidelines right after he's tackled? My mistake, I will have to watch for that next game.

I’m saying I don’t know. Given who he is, it’s possible that they’ve said to him, ‘We’re want Tony to be involved, and we want you to help us make that happen. You have carte blanch to wave him in, and we’d like to see you do that occasionally’. And no, not for a dual RB set.

So you saying it's Zeke that's calling the plays to get Tony involved? Now I see the problem with the offense. LOL. It's all good. No argument, actually a fun discussion. Keep rooting for the boys. Heck Zeke probably could call a better game than Kellen. We would have an awesome run game and never any empty sets.

I’m definitely not saying that’s what happens all the time (or ever….idk). I’m saying it’s a possibility that would help keep Zeke happy and would make him feel like he was a part of the decision making process. Everybody’s psyche works differently. Keeping guys happy and still getting what you want is a win-win. If they just said, ‘Tony is RB1, but you’ll get your touches’, I think you’d have an unhappy player. Maybe that would just be too bad for Zeke. Players get demoted all the time.

I don’t wish injury on anyone, but I’d like to see a healthy Zeke get 22-25 carries against an average run defense to see what he really has left. Maybe it would be an embarrassment, or maybe he’d go for 100+. I have no idea.

Luulz, you're clearly just naming RBs off the top of the head.

2016 Zeke was a marvel. Fast, flexible, vision, hurdles, strong, great blocker. All around GREAT back.

That off-season he concentrated his training on STRENGTH. It was a mistake. He definitely got stronger over the next couple of off seasons, but he also got slower and much less agile. You could see him SEEKING OUT contact instead of trying to make people miss. Last season, he looked a LOT quicker before the injury. He needs more of THAT.

Fast, quick, and sudden are all different things and difficult to train. Zeke was once ALL of them. He weight-trained those qualities out of himself. Right when he needed to concentrate on speed and flexibility, he went all-in on strength. I'm not sure if he will ever recover what he has lost.

That all being said, I still want him on the team. He just isn't what he once was and probably never will be.

He’s not. The way zeke looked against Philly. If he had the have to himself without pollard, he gets 130. It happens. Guys have big games. Let pollard sit against Philly abd see what zeke does.

Try English next time.

Yep and each one is better than Pollard. The two rookies are going to be special and exceed what Pollard can bring to the table. I'm not knocking Pollard's day or game he just isn't a top five back in my opinion. Clearly a matter of opinion, like all comparisons, mine just didn't jive with this particular statement. Enjoy the rest of your day and bye week.

That was one of the worst run defenses in the league.

I think there are some defenses where zeke would play better and some defenses that pollard will play better.

It's hilarious how people see Pollard get his runs and they believe he's the better guy. I can't wait until he gets his opportunity, for some team to believe the same **** and find that he can't do it but in spots.
It's really comical

Zeke should probably take some sort of pay cut to stay in Dallas. Don't think he's done but he's got a lot of miles for a rb.
I would like to hope Zeke takes a paycut & a reduced role to stay, but I wonder if his pride would prevent that. It would speak volumes about his character if did that to stay a Cowboy.

Hey guys, Pollard gets his yards the wrong way apparently. Nothing to see here.

Luuuulz, unhinged Zeke fans.

I love Zeke too. I was ecstatic when we drafted him. I remember Zeke getting minimum 3 yards per carry without great blocking. I also remember his burst he had to the hole, through the hole, with cutting ability 2nd to none. About 3 years ago Zeke started this read and react running style like LeVeon Bell. It doesn't work for explosive sprinters like Zeke. Father time has also robbed Zeke of some of his power and speed. Zeke knows this which makes him press. Which makes him less instinctive as a runner. Keep in mind, Derek Henry was taken in the 2nd round of the same draft as Zeke. I do hope we draft Zekes replacement in 2023 draft.
