than I am right now that we can beat the Patriots if we get another shot at them.

The Giants simply aren't that good, and are a beaten up team, and it took Sam Madison going out of the game for the Pats to take the lead in the 4th quarter.

For everyone fretting over our less than spectacular December, look at the Pats. They had two games where they trailed in the 2nd half from Sept.-Nov., then in Dec. they trailed the Eagles, Ravens and Giants all in the 4th qtr.

And this was the Giants without Shockey. If Burress, Kevin Boss, and a gimpy Brandon Jacobs can do what they did to them, imagine what TO, Witten and MB3 could do.

Side note: I'm actually glad the Pats won for two reasons.... 1) it gives us the shot to derail the best team ever train, and 2) it keeps the Giants from getting some momentum going into the playoffs. They're probably the team that could threaten us the most if they got hot.

I'm actually thinking the Colts may knock these guys out of the playoffs.

To be honest, that would be more of a story book chapter to their already historic rivalry. Dont get me wrong, I'd love for my team to be the one that slays the dragon just before the finish line, but the Colts are looking vicious right now.

I think the Colts can beat em too. But it makes for a much more hyped Super Bowl if it was us at 16-2 or 15-3 and them at 18-0.

I don't know so much about the Jags, unless they play in some horrible weather up in Foxboro, then they got a shot.

If the weather in NE is like the Bears-Packers game, the Jags could win that one.

me too. I think the Pats will show their age on defense against the Colts hi-octane offense. It'll be a high scoring affair, but in the end, I think the colts will come out the victor.

I think any of those teams could beat them. But only IF the refs are willing to call a consistent game on both sides of the ball. That hasn't been the case for much of the Patriots' '07 season.

the Jags are a great running team, and unlike the other teams New England had problems with when they ran at them, their QB doesn't suck, Garrard has an almost 3 to 1 TD to INT ratio, plus their D is good

I like them alot, along w/ Indy and us, to take them down

I just talked to Parcells and he agrees wholeheartedly.

It would be special though, to knock off the Evil Empire and Darth Brady.

Well, I agree we would be able to beat them, however as I said in another thread, they will not make it to the Super Bowl. If Philly and the Eli led Giants can give them fits, can you imagine what the better Manning will do to this team?

I still think they will get knocked out either by Jax ot Indy.

Sure no problem, they only hung 48 on us in our house en route to beating us by 21. And don't give me they aren't playing as well now because we aren't either.

The one thing the teams that have played them close has in common is that they for the most part played tight on the WR's and didn't constantly give them a free release of the LOS. Unfortunately that is not something we have done much of the entire season. Too much of the 10 yard cushion.

Anybody in the play-offs from the AFC can beat the Pats.

I hope they lose their first game in the play-offs in a systematic crushing, simply to put a damper on the TV networks who over-hype this above average team. It will make the media look like a bunch of bumbling fools for riding the jocks of Belli-cheat.

The only way Dallas can beat NE if they both get the the SB is if they blow them out, if it's close at the end I'm afraid the refs will screw Dallas and give NE chance after chance until they win.

It's 50-50 the Pats even make the SB after that performance. Manning and a banged up Burress hanged 35 points on them. A great regular season for Belicheat and Brady, but its meaningless now.

Face it man, the Pats are getting everyone's A+ game. The Pats are bringing their C/B- game, coming from behind and still winning.
Ask Rodney "cheap shot" Harrison how gimpy Jacobs was when Jacobs kept abusing him. It was getting so bad I think Harrison closed his eyes and dove at him one time, hoping he'd miss him (and he did).
Thats the perfect example of what the Pats get nearly every week; guys, even if they are injured, playing maxed out to try to beat them.
I agree on the benefits of the outcome. I didn't want to see the gints with any momentum. And I think the pressure of continuing to win will eventually wear out the Pats before the playoffs and SB are over.
