I do not like the Alfred Morris signing

Chun is camp fodder, Pollard is a gimmick back and Weber is a one cut straight ahead runner with a 3 year shelf life in the NFL. Signing Morris was probably desperation but at least it was something!

And all on Earth is doomed!!!!

It’s moot, because Zeke will be there, but Morris is here for preseason game passpro until we see enough of the young backs to know if we can risk going with them or not in real games. He’s a placeholder.

Aw, you're nuts!

Maybe i'm a little early with this post but we have a stable of young RB's that are all getting a lot of buzz right now between Pollard, Weber, and Chunn and for some reason the Cowboys went out and signed Alfred Morris.

What other team would sign Morris if they invested 2 draft picks in the RB position and the RB's are actually looking good in camp?

The only reason to sign a guy like Morris is blitz pickup but with the RB position it's almost always better to go with youth over a 30 year old Vet.

Chunn is a big power back that is shifty.

Weber is an all around guy with vision.

Pollard is an all around guy that could be a Alvin Kamara or Percy Harvin type of player potentially.

When Zeke finally comes back then what? Keep 4 RB's?

Morris should've signed with New Orleans. That was a mistake by him.

Now the RB's may look terrible starting Saturday night but I'm expecting them to shine and be the story of the Pre-season offensively.

We usually carry more camp bodies at RB. That may be all that Morris is. But a better one than usual, because he's good for the development of the young guys.

Instead of our young guys being the camp bodies, now Morris is. That's an improvement.

Neither Chunn nor Weber are making the team with or without Morris.

I used to think so too, but Broadus says they had a 3rd round grade on Weber. I doubt they risk that, even given that the league showed no interest on draft day.

KSK has been selling Weber hard. Makes good points. We always like to say "we stole one", but it may be true here, and almost certainly they think it is true and won't let him go.

Training Camp vet to help the young squad since Zeke is playing poker with the front office.
