I don’t want Zeke on this team at all even if he takes a cut

At this point, in light of how proactive this team needs to be, they can ill afford to hang onto Zeke any longer. It's high time to draft a new RB.

This will be an ideal year to address the RB position, with so many talented players available in that role. Here's hoping our FO realizes that.

I would love to keep Zeke cheap.
He would be awesome to spell Pollard, short yardage situation, pass blocking situations, injury insurance, etc.
Y’all saying he should retire taking it over the top.
He’s definitely not a top flight RB, but he still has his role within an NFL team.
Absolutely overpaid, 2-3mil.

I didn't want him to get that 2nd contract when Jerry caved, and should have to him to ST.** and honor his current contract he was still playing on.

If he's back this team is in trouble. Doesn't matter what kind of pay cut he takes.

The issue is the run blocking on the offensive line could get better.

It really could. We aren't set at offensive line. We basically made it work last year, but I think they are neglecting the interior of the offensive line, and that's where we typically run the ball.

Zeke can probably still play a little. But he's more like 3rd best back on your team... So, at the vet minimum, sure. But you still have to pay to keep him. Plus, it causes confusion, because he's used to starting.

I think you cut him and let the younger guys lead. Let Pollard lead. He's a bit more focused on the objective.

I think Pollard making ~10m & Zeke making ~2m clears up any confusion.

I love him and respect him but he is at this point a progress stopper. We need to draft another guy with Pollard
Most in here have been saying that for a long time. Even at the vet minimum, it's too much. He is a progress stopper. He is taking up a roster spot that would be better for the Cowboys if it was filled with a rookie.

This right here. Need a rookie back to fill the void zeke will leave this year and what pollard will leave the year after

I don’t either. Unless it’s 3rd or 4th and short. Giving Zeke the ball is actually a detriment to the offense.

Me only roast beef with him is he takes up a roster spot and takes up oxygen.

I want to keep Zeke but he has earned no pay raise so if that is what is required to keep him then I prefer he is gone.
