Hopefully Dak should understand we have a run game.......I'm more worried about KMoore unveiling some more "Boise State" plays in the scheme as he continues to audition for JJ.
We can't always depend on the running game. It's simply not always there.
Nevertheless I'm with you about being "more worried about KM unveiling more Boise State plays in the scheme". Sometimes he calls plays like he thinks he's still at Boise St.

What are you blabbering about? Show me where I made any excuses for any other athletes.

Show me where Dak didn't come back from an 11 month layoff and recovery from a very serious and complicated ankle injury and play well in his first outing.

He's a seven year veteran professional QB. Should take him a play or two to get up to "game speed".

Come on man, use your head.

And no....... You're the best, Kemosabe.

I just asked a simple question.... how many other quarterbacks played one game in 9 months and didn't play their second game until over a month later and then stepped right in like they never left like you expect Dak to do?

This. He has eight screws and a plate in his hand now
which he is going to have to get accustomed to when throwing the ball. Rust should be expected.
What with that rust, here's hoping they're not playing any games in the rain! :omg:

I'm just hoping he plays 100% better than he did against Tampa.

I think his resume shows he's capable of playing better than he did in that ONE game vs Tampa. In that same Tampa game, we were gashing the Bucs for 4 and 5 yards a pop on the ground but KM stopped calling run plays.

So lets also add in that we hope KM don't abandon a running game thats ACTUALLY WORKING.

Don't worry, I think I can hold my expectations in check... :lmao:

We all could hold our expectations back for any starting quarterback who's only played 2 games in 9 months.... Stevie Wonder can see that.....

I've supported Dak since day one, dude. You're insane to insinuate otherwise.

I didn't support his contract. I didn't support his collapse in the playoffs last year or game one this year...but I've said he's a good QB and wanted him to succeed.

He has his issues and I hope he overcomes them. Now grow up and maybe like an adult realize that criticism of certain aspects does not mean dislike or hatred. The Cowboys were around before Dak, they'll be around after Dak. I hope they win championships with him as the QB. I hope they'll win championships after he's retired. See how that works?

Ask @America's Cowboy. I've supported Dak since day one. Sure I've had criticisms of him but I hope he succeeds. I had criticisms of Romo before him. I had criticisms of Aikman at times before that. No player is above criticism. No player is perfect.

I'm done arguing this with you since you are incapable of arguing the point and keep insinuating things that just aren't true and I never stated or hinted. I will state that this place would be better off if you weren't here.
You're 100% correct and all facts, brother!

He'll struggle because our OL is bad and our WRs are meh. these guys aren't magically going to block better or start beating man coverage just cause Dak is back

i don't think we're watching the same team?

They're decent run blockers specially on the right side but pass blocking leaves a lot to be desired they're no where close to best in the league at anything

We rank 3rd in sacks given up in the passing game, 4th in getting stuffed in the run game, 2nd in power success (Percentage of runs on third or fourth down, two yards or less to go, that achieved a first down or touchdown. Also includes runs on first-and-goal or second-and-goal from the two-yard line or closer.) And 8th in Adjusted Line Yards. This according to Football Outsiders.

https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/nfl/basic-offensive-line

Fox sports has them at 5th.

https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/nfl-offensive-line-rankings-eagles-chiefs-lead-the-top-five

I mean I may be off by a spot or two but there's really no arguing they are one of the top offensive lines in the league.

Then again, you may be right, we may not be watching the same team??

Yeah, because what you stated was bull. Presumptuous or not, you spew nonsense about Dak, when Rodgers name is mentioned, you suddenly claim up.

when Rodgers name is mentioned, you suddenly claim up

That is creepy, you being able to tell tha. I hadn't noticed. Are you stalking me, like some creepy perp?

But back to Rodgers. He is a punk, like you.
I don't spend much time on you yankers.
Claim up?

Where you from, Nonsense Boy?

My response was based on another comment suggesting Dak just needs to play
20% better than Rush. I'm sure there's a thread on KM and the run game somewhere.

Thing is, Dak knew he was playing Tampa for months and came out going
6-16 and looked terrible. Hence the reasoning behind my original comment.
Also, it's hard to call plays when your QB is under 40% in completions.
Some of the blame should go to Lamb for that. Plenty to go around, for sure.

I agree that the run game needs to continue. 10+ carries for both RBs.

Despite a solid job by Cooper Rush managing this team while Dak was gone, I don't believe Dak will just come in and light it up. Dak hasn’t had a chance to get into a groove with this offense like Rush has.

We have to show patience for a game or two (as long as we're winning) while Dak gets into a rhythm with this offense. This is not giving Dak any excuses or any passes, but I don't expect to see a solid outing by Dak until the first game after the bye because I still don't believe that hand is fully healed.

Do I believe Dak can play well enough to contribute to winning these next two games before the bye??? Absolutely. But do I think he's going to come in lighting it up?? Absolutely not. Again, let's not kid ourselves with expectations of some heroic performance by Dak after a long layoff recovering from the hand injury.

Oh yeah.... don't think for a minute that opposing defenses aren't going to take the opportunity to swipe at Dak's hand to see how well it holds up, so Rush need to stay ready!!

Continue the RUN GAME with Zeke/Pollard ...
Continue to lead with the run ..

-It helps take pressure off Dak
-It helps with balance and getting Dak back into rhythm "gradually"
-It helps our defense to rest and limits Lions offense
-It helps the OL get into more a brute attack more
- it helps Dak with more deceptive Play Action ball handling

- i don't trust Kellen and his urge to go pass happy with Dak's return
- i don't trust Dak to Not constantly changing out of so many audibles and resisting that greedy urge himself.
