So You expect Dallas to have even less TOP than we currently do? Dallas is 29th in TOP meaning we are not moving the ball we are getting a lot of 3 and outs and we are ranked 30th in 3rd down conversion and now it is going to get worse?
All I'm saying is that when things that didn't happen when Rush was QB all of a sudden start to happen then don't be on here all surprised and blaming the coaches.

When the O-line all of a sudden can't protect Dak then don't blame the coaches.

When the run game all of a sudden is nonexistent then don't blame the coaches.

When we start to be pass happy then don't blame the coaches.

When the defense seems to maybe not look as dominate because they are on the filed more often and quicker don't blame the coaches.

IF, key word IF, these things happen then have the awareness to realize that a QB changed happened also.

Coaches get blamed even with Rush behind center. What i expect is to see the offense improve to sustain drives and be able to put up points. I have no set number of points he must achieve what I do want is for him to play within the offense, he does not have to be the hero.

The coaches will need to not allow Dak to try and make it the "Dak show" on offense.

I believe 100% he will come back trying to prove he's "the man" (all he's done is run his mouth while the team went 4-1 without him) and he just doesn't have the skills or ability to turn it on like that.

It's up the coaches to be the coaches here and control their team and not allow Dak to just do his thing out there.

an above average quarterback should do above average things if he is healthy and took all the snaps with the 1's during prep week.

he get's no slack from me, I expect him to do above average.

Despite a solid job by Cooper Rush managing this team while Dak was gone, I don't believe Dak will just come in and light it up. Dak hasn’t had a chance to get into a groove with this offense like Rush has.

We have to show patience for a game or two (as long as we're winning) while Dak gets into a rhythm with this offense. This is not giving Dak any excuses or any passes, but I don't expect to see a solid outing by Dak until the first game after the bye because I still don't believe that hand is fully healed.

Do I believe Dak can play well enough to contribute to winning these next two games before the bye??? Absolutely. But do I think he's going to come in lighting it up?? Absolutely not. Again, let's not kid ourselves with expectations of some heroic performance by Dak after a long layoff recovering from the hand injury.

Oh yeah.... don't think for a minute that opposing defenses aren't going to take the opportunity to swipe at Dak's hand to see how well it holds up, so Rush need to stay ready!!
With Dak he could go 400 yards against Detroit or 150.

Last year he had no preseason and lit Tampa up game one. This year with no preseason he had his worst game of his career against Tampa.

Needs to be more consistent but Detroit has a terrible defense so he most likely still be rusty but by the second half should start getting in a groove.

If Dak plays within himself and makes it about the team good things will happen, if he plays look at me hero ball it means he learned nothing the last few weeks.

I don't see why anyone would expect that. He's played one game in 9 months and didn't light anything up. I doubt six weeks on the shelf are going to help.

But he's going to be the QB for 40 million reasons. As a fan, I can only hope for the best. Hopefully, he'll get going over the course of the season. We'll see.
All he has to do is enough to win, who cares the stats. Dak’s a much better QB than 2/3 of the league I don’t expect monster games the next few weeks only enough to win which he is capable of and if his stats are down as long as they are winning everyone should be happy.

Allen has more playoff wins in less years than Dak and Allen led Buffalo to an AFC Championship game; Murray should never have been given the contract he received nor should have Watson as neither earned those deals; Rodgers has 4 losing seasons in 14 seasons and led GB to a 13-3 season 3 seasons in a row so do not use him and Dak in the same sentence; Derek Carr may be a quality QB but he has been on a crap team for years.

Nope. Nope. Don't wanna hear the excuses when you don't give those same excuses to Dak. I dont care that Allen has more playoff wins, has he won a Superbowl? No. And thats all you jokers want to use for Dak so keep that same standard. Allen is a loser that loses in the playoffs and cant win a superbowl (thats how yall do it with Dak right??)

I dont care that Rodgers has 4 losing seasons, he hasn't went to a superbowl in 13 seasons right?? What have you done for me lately? Rodgers is a loser that loses in the playoffs every year and doesn't win Superbowls. Thats the standard right?? Dont be a hypocrite LOL

Why does every opinion have to be twisted into some narrative discussion lol?

OP made a simple opinion and now we’re devolving into a thread of this side versus that. Super fun stuff.
Because a bunch of football savants, who thought Dallas would win 8 games last year and 8 games this year mind you, have to pollute every thread with their agenda. They know everything, despite consistently being wrong, and people who think Dallas will win more than they lose because they have for a while now, are delusional homers, despite being consistently right

Why do you say this as if it’s a good thing? His low cap number now just means it’s much larger later. It’s 49 mil next year and 52 mil the year after.
BC he will never cost us that.

Unless he completely stinks or gets a major injury.

You guys act like we have never had huge cap numbers that have been moved around before.

Dak will perform better than Rush out of the gates.

I dont believe this will be a dominant offense but if they can keep a healthy ground game Dak will take it over the top and we will have a good offense.

Combine that with this defense and we have something.

Dak's going to light it up like the 4th of July. AND, if you think anything less, you'll be wrong yet once again. BOOM!

I also want him to feel the pressure. I don't want him to panic about it. A leader feels the pressure, and responds to it, which inspires all the team even the defense.

Gonna be an interesting couple weeks...and the board will need a bye as much as the team. :)

Give it to the homers, he's going to save everything here!!

I'll believe it when I see it done consistently.

I don't believe Dak's ego, right now, would allow him to only pass the ball only 16 times, even if it works and we win by 2 TDs like we did with Cooper Rush against the Rams.
You wait! The running game will be doing great and the Cowboys will be up by 20 and Dak will start slinging it to pad his numbers and act like he won the game for the team. Those 50 point games last year were complete nonsense. The Bill got up by 40 on the Steelers a started playing thier back ups. That's what your supposed to do. But not if you want to pad your stats.
