We just played the best team in football at their home field, in hostile weather conditions, hostile crowd, without our starting running back, many turnovers, and in Denny Green terms "We had em, and let em off the hook." If Pittsburgh is indeed the class of football why all the sad faces????? If we play defense like we did today for the rest of the year were going to the Superbowl. Remember theres no Pittsburgh, Indy, Ten, or NE in our conference. I am super confident of the offense getting better. Id say quit being wimps about this and stop crying that things are so bad when really there not. We control our own destiny I beileve. I know were in as of now but dont know how that worked if us and the Falcons both win out; they would have the same conference record as us. 8-5 is not a bad record at this point of the year.

Ill even go one step further and give another reason why the stack was against us today. Rothelisberger probably has played in 12-15 slop games in his career. Slop meaning rain, snow, cold, wind, or messed up turf. Heres an example week 2 was in 35 mph remenice of a Hurricane at Cleveland. They won 10-6. Bad weather follows him. Last season against the Dolphins they played in a monsoon and won 3-0.

Ill conclude with this, where are you guys at. We played with the most heart today than at any other time in the Wade Phillps era imo. We lost but there was so much good to come out of this game.

1. Flozell no offsides
2. defense looking top 3ish
3. Pac man back to his Tennesse days
4. Ware is Ware
5. Choice can play in the NFL and could even be a starter somewhere
6. Romo throwing many interceptions. Hear me out. This will make him take a step back and more than any time ever in his career that game could make Romo change for good in his negative ways.
7. Wade can indeed coach...... Defense that is but hes defintly not an idiot like many say. We are looking like SD now of a few years ago with Merriman, Phillps, big NT in the middle in which the name is eluding me right now etc
8. Folk!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there a better kicker in the league right now.

keep your heads up guys I was mad after the game too but lets look big picture

9.

Make no mistake-Pitt has one of the worst OLs in all of football. They're 10-3 b/c they have a very good D, but they're not exactly a powerhouse b/c their OL, and to some extent Big Ben, have sucked wind. Even the Foreskins were able to rattle their OL.

With that being said-there's no ifs, ands, buts, and moral victories...we had an opportunity to put ourselves in the driver's seat for an NFC WC, and we blew it.

Not only that we had a chance to put the Giants on the ropes this week.

the big deal is we blew it and allowed two scores in 8 monutes in a game that we had won. If you are happy with a another meltdown, congrats...you got it.

Here' s the big deal:
1. This team now has NO MARGIN FOR ERROR the rest of the season.
2. Sure Pitt is a great team, but the fact is we HAD THEM BEAT!
3. Our QB has another big game under the loss column.
4. We lost a game that should have been won and in the process let SEVERAL other teams into the playoff race.
5. We lose one more game this season and we're likely sitting at home during the play-offs. While you're at home watching other teams play football, ask yourself if the Pittsburgh loss was a big deal.

Yes, but if we play this physical the rest of the year no one is touching us in the NFC. Superbowl might be a different story but the NFC no.

Also, If I told you we go 1-1 between Pitt and the NYG im sure 80 percent in here would take that. Plus, the NYG game is more important due to conference records. I agree with you on having the chance to grab the wild card but we let it slip away.

Well Proctor will be our LG for the remainder with Holland out.

Good luck with that as Steve Spagnuola is already salivating over exploiting him next week.

I know this loss stung but lets not jump off the ship while its clearly afloat. The things you guys are saying are things people say when their season is over. Give it one more week please.

I meant defense not offense. The way we played today we can turn into the Pittsburgh of the NFC without the turnovers. I wasnt talking about offense. Im not thrilled on Procter either. Every time I hear that name I think of Police Acaedmey(Sp) when Harris use to always yell "PROCTER"

I agree. There were so many good things about that game (and you forgot what we were able to do in the running game w/a green rookie and w/o our starter against that defense), it's unfortunate they'll get glossed over now in favor of the media's favorite Cowboy themes.

The worst part about this loss--and I'm not saying the loss isn't a big deal--is that it opens that door to "Cowboys can't win in December," the constant goading and insinuation that makes "TO's at it again" or "Jerry's interfering again" out of whatever they actually say or do.

I'd feel much worse as a Commanders fan this morning. There's nothing so soothing as DC sports radio the day after a Skins loss.

They lost a blew win due to their own mistakes - a reoccurring theme in Dallas.

I was very heartbroken by this loss because it was a game we had and we let them off the hook.

I think there is one major area of concern, and it has been a problem for a couple of years now, and that is STs. Bruce Read SUCKS!!! Adam Jones SUCKS!!! Nick Folk is AWESOME!

I though Jones was supposed to be a great return guy yet his longest punt return this season was for 18 yards and he is averaging 4.6 yards per return. That is horrible! He had his longest return of the season yesterday on a kick return for all of 20 yards. WOW! His longest punt return last night was for 3 yards! 3 YARDS! I can get more than 3 yards! I don't know what his deal is but he sucks. He also muffed a number of kicks which didn't help any.

On the 7 times we kicked the ball to them (not counting the 7 times we gave it to them on turnovers or on downs) they started on average at their 36 yard line. On the 0 times they kicked to us we started out on average on our own 23. That's an average of 13 yards per start. That's 91 yards we GAVE them on their 7 starts due to our STs.

Patrick "Fair Catch" Crayton isn't much better than Jones on punt returns but at least on the 3 (out of 11) he didn't FC he has a good average of 9.9 yards with 33 yards as his longest.

We really miss Felix Jones and Miles Austin on kick returns.

The bottom line is that Bruce Read should have been replaced early LAST year when it was evident that he sucked. Why he was kept on THIS year is beyond me!

Agreed big time. At least with Pac theres always a threat but with Crayton theres absolutly none. He doesnt have the speed.

This is an area where we REALLY miss Felix Jones and Miles Austin. Getting a new STs coach would help too as our coverage units have been terrible.

I wish I knew what was wrong with Adam Jones. He was an awesome return guy with the Titans but here he has done absolutely nothing.

Couldnt have said it better! When you have put yourself in a golden opportunity you gotta finish it and we just blew it! i dont believe in moral victories at least not for the truly good teams!

The deal for some is that Romo isn't God, and therefor isn't perfect, and dared to have a bad game. It's simply unheard of in the NFL, you know. QB's that are in the top 5-6 spots in the league simply never have bad games I suppose.

Look, of the games left on the schedule, the Steelers game was the one they could most afford to lose. So it is not the end of the world. Things worked out in the rest of the league yesterday that pushed Dallas into the playoff picture. The team has to shake it off and prepare for the Giants. That is a much bigger game. The division is now out of reach, but the playoff are a realistic goal. Go Cowboys!
