Physically Reeves is alot better than Aaron Glenn. But alot of players were physically better than Jerry Rice or Emmitt Smith too.

I think he will do just fine. But on the other hand, something htat Glenn had was amazing instincts. He was good at reading the play and making a jump on the ball.

Its long past time for Reeves and Jones to show something if they've got it. I agree with the previous take that they seem to be pretty good at getting into position, but rarely make a play on the ball. I don't know if they just lack confidence or if it really is a question of ball skills.

Jones gave up a 90-yard TD against the Broncos, but he played that pretty well. I think Elam needed to be helping over the top and was caught out of position. But if you're Jones, you can't be content with just going up the WR and swiping at the ball. You've got to catch it, knock it down, or make the tackle. He didn't do any of those things.

Reeves was covering his man like a blanket against the Texans, but he had his back to the QB, and rather than try to get his head around, he just interfered with the WR when he jumped to make the catch.

I'm hoping that these guys just need more reps at game speed to take that next step. But until they do, they're just not very good.

change was needed and i'm confident in reeves too. glenn was getting old. he jumped alot of routes last year only to have the ball bounce off his arms and fall to the ground(at ny in the endzone,at seattle,etc.) plus he is afraid of contact. it may take some time but i'm confident in reeves too.
