It is obvious now that Jerry is in total control and has absolutely nobody with any influence over his decision making. It is all downhill from here. We have seen one bone-headed move after the other the last few months. First, he lost Parcells, and then Ireland, as well as a couple of Ireland's guys. The smart guys are gone. Jerry made two moves the last couple of days that are true indicators of a downward spiral:

First, signing Adams to a six-year deal is much more of a Snyder-Commanders move than a Patriots or Giants move. Great organizations know when to say goodbye to aging players. They don't get stuck with huge contracts on players who no longer "have it." This happened to us in the late 90's when Jerry was large and in charge, and its happening again.

Second, trading Ferguson for a sixth round choice (plus a swap of 6th rounders) indicates that either Parcells has pictures of Jerry and Larry Lacewell in a compromising posture, or Jerry is just a goof ball. Either scenario is bad. When is the lovefest with Miami going to end? Surely there is something else they want. Marion Barber, maybe?

I don't know if I can watch. We are no longer a team on the rise. Jerry is in total control, and history tells us that means we're in for a bumpy, debilitating ride.

You mean like the Patriots re-signing Bruschi again to a multi-year deal yesterday?

Okay, that makes zero sense. You're against re-signing Flozell, but you're for keeping the aging Ferguson....a guy that saves Dallas $2.4 million by trading him and we've already got players who have replaced him.

I guess Jerry wasn't in total control last year where he hired Wade (which was flamed), signed Bigg Davis (which was flamed) and Ken Hamlin. We also finally drafted a kicker who can actually make field goals. Dallas wound up going 13-3 by getting key positions (RG, Kicker, and Free Safety) that Parcells just could never do.

Last I looked Ferguson was an old player who was injured last year

We also gain like 2.5 million in cap room to unload him and get a pick

I do agree the contract to Flo is a joke

Hey man it's ok. Everyone can be worried about things. If they bother you too much you're always able to jump off the wagon and jump back on later on, like a lot of people do.

There is always going to be room. :)

Jerry is doing nothing wrong for me, I like the decisions he has made. Now just send that 6th round pick to the Titans, get Pacman and it's all good.

Greats owners also know which position is the 2nd most important position on the team.....when you have a pro bowler who is very very far from the "no longer has it " category......................

You really never see teams getting rid of Pro Bowl LT's in this leauge. They are usually held on to until they decide to hang them up.

No, I don't have a big problem with trading Ferguson - if you can get some value for him. Surely somebody out there wanted one of the best NT's in the game and would be willing to give something up for him. I do think that Ferguson is the best NT on the team - so why basically give him away?
