I don't think I had ever fully appreciated Aikman until today

Even through the QC/Chutch days, it never really occured to me until today how amazing Troy really was and how much I miss him. A QB who knew exactly when to throw it deep, when to throw it away and when to just eat it. He was the coolest customer around in clutch games and rarely, if ever, put us in the kind of position that Bledsoe did today.

Why did the 90s ahve to come and go so quickly? :(

I appreciated everything Troy did for us on the field. Never took any of that for granted.

You don't appreciate much when you're 9 years old

Aikman had his share of INT's at Philly, just like that one Bledsoe had today. But Yes, I sure miss Troy as a QB. He never had one that bad.

I was thinking the same thing. He was great when we watched him play, but man, I don't want to actually hear him talk.

Troy was good but he wasn't without faults. I never did get used to his impatience, and his inability to preserve timeouts for the last couple minutes of the game. He'd get mad at his defensive read and rather than audible to a safe play, he'd call a timeout, and leave Dallas with 1 or 2 by the end of the half.

As far as Bledsoe goes, I just keep thinking "Craig Morton" these days.

David.

Aikman behind that O-Line today would have had the same result, he always threw to a spot and if your guys don't get there you have to hope the other team doesn't either. Aikman was as mobile as DB and when he did run he always got his brain scrambled.

Yeah, I miss Aikman as a player.

As an analyst, I was disappointed with him today. He seemed very anti-Cowboys today, and I actually saw for the first time what many have said on this forum, concerning this. He seemed to excessively tow the media company line, along with Joe Buck who kept reinforcing the TO image of screaming on the sidelines stirring up trouble.

Even Jaworski - the Eagles homer - doesn't say as much to look "objective" towards his team. Hell, that's why he's labelled a "homer."

Aikman disappointed me today.

I tried to listen to Brad Sham while watching the game but I have satelite and it gave about a three second delay.

Actually, Bledsoe's last interception reminded me of when Aikman had a chance to beat the Eagles in 1996. We had the ball at their 3-yard line trailing 24-21 in the final 30 seconds. But Aikman threw a horrible interception that was returned for a touchdown to seal the Eagles' win.
