I want to start by saying.. I really like Romo, and I believe he can take us to the playoffs.. He's the best QB we've had in a long time...

I know I will get flamed for this... but I don't believe he was that great this last game. He made some really great plays (specially clutch plays), but he also made several mistakes...

I believe he got very lucky in two plays.. the first one is an interception that was dropped by the saftey (went through his hands) and the other was the interception on the end zone that was called back due to a penalty. He also had that other interception...

Those were huge mistakes by the Colts! We're talking about a 3 INT game in this scenario... Maybe that's one more reason why Romo has "it"... even when he makes mistakes he gets lucky!

Maybe I'm totally wrong and I'm missing something.. but watching the game again on NFL replay, that's one of the things that stood out to me..

What do you guys think??

Every QB makes a mistake in a game.

Eh...he played exactly like he does in regular season games for 2 straight preseasons. Some people discount preseason but it's the closest possible simulation to a regular season game.
You're right.......most people discount them. The Cards would be 9-1 right now.

I get what you are saying and I actually agree.

However he is very good in the second half of games and although this may not have been his best game, since he became a starter it was still good enough to get us a win.

I will take that, because even with it not being is best game at starter it as superior to a bad day with Bledsoe.

We still have to remember that although he has been in the league a few years this is still his first live action when it counts.

If you take that into account, take into account that QBs are just going to have some days when they are better or not so good, it really is quite amazing what he has done so far.

We should be hoping that this is the worst he will do...really because that was not bad at all.

There will probably be days when he has a bad game, even the greats have bad games.

But so far it is hard not to be impressed with him, even if this game was not his as good as the others so far.

So yes he got away with some ints, but even then it was much better than what we have been used to since aikman left and that is saying quite a bit when you consider we have had a few starters that have been in the league for some time.

I also believe this may have been Romo's best game to date.

This is the fastest front seven he's seen yet, and even he said after the game there were some opportunities that would've opened up if he only had another split second to wait.

He said that after Freeney forced that fumble in the first quarter, he told himself he was going to have to adjust to the speed of their pass rush, and get rid of the ball quickly. The fact that he went 19 of 23 in such a situation says a lot.
