but, I do not see us winning tonight.

1. We tend to struggle on Sunday Night, and that is even with Romo. Without him, our offense is a big giant pile of elephant poop.

2. Garrett doesn't hold the players accountable when they mess up. He is too busy smiling, clapping, butt slapping and high fiving.

3. We always lose the turnover battle. Our D isn't all that bad, they are pretty good, except for 1 area. They refuse to take the ball away from the opponent. Meanwhile, our offense is like Santa Claus, giving out the pigskin like here and there and everywhere.

4. Too many LOS penalties, mainly on our offense. Too many holds, false starts, and hands to the face are absolutely killing us.

5. Our ST return team sucks. Our coverage team is decent.

6. The refs will find a way to really bend us over, prison style, and make a couple of critical calls that we will not be able to overcome. Then, on Monday, the league will apologize yet again for the erroneous actions of their officiating crew.

It will be a close game. We will have our opportunities. However, our offense and the refs will find a way to break our hearts.

I have been positive all year long, and I hate feeling so negative, but, I just can't escape this feeling. It absolutely sucks expecting a loss before the game even starts. It reminds me of the Campo years.

I wish it wasn't a prime time game. I just think that the eagles offense will put up too many points to match. Don't see them being held to 10 points again.

For a self-described white and nerdy guy, the grammar in the thread title is atrocious. I be kidding. ;)

To actually respond to the post, though, I don't think you're being a downer, just a fan who has become accustomed to disappointment this season.

I'm not sure what to expect myself, so am hoping for the best but expecting the worst in order to preserve my sanity watching this team.

You might be right but the defense is definitely better now than it was then.

However, time of possession played a part in the Eagles win (it usually does) and with the current Dallas offense, Chippy's offense might have a lot of at-bats to try to do something with. So, the defense could play better and still allow a good bit more points.

There is hope because the Cowboys O-Line is not only significantly better than Philly's O-Line... but they are significantly better than the last Dallas O-Line that Philly played against. The Philly defense has been playing well though.

If Bradford holds on to the ball for longer than a couple of seconds, the Dallas D-Line is going to get to him a lot. Their line is not good at all.

And if Philly can't retain possession like they sometimes do against Dallas... then the Cowboys offense will have a lot of chances as well.

Overall though, nothing will surprise me in this game. Literally, just about anything could happen.

I see this as the most winnable game they've had with Romo out.

I think they would have won the Saints and Falcons games with Hardy and Dez.

As soon as they got Hardy back they had to face the Patriots which would be a difficult game even with Romo and Dez.

Then we get to the Giants game which is really the game they should have won. They still didn't have Dez then and it was Cassel's first game and the coaches gave him to much leeway and he delivered 3 INTs.

Then Seattle, another good team. A 1 point loss to a team that was in the Super Bowl last year.

Now the Eagles. Dez should be less limited than last week. The running game has been good now with Collins at LG and Martin looking healthy for about the past 3 games. The defense seems to be a close to full strength and Byron Jones is becoming the man. This is Gregory's 3rd game back so he should be close to getting more snaps.

Summary: This week is the best the roster has looked between lingering injuries and suspensions. The QB is not much but at least it's more stable than Cassel in his 1st or 2nd game.

Good points but I would not declare the QB situation stable until it is demonstrated on the field for a few consecutive games.

I'm not even sure I want to watch the game. We will find a way to lose a close game against a very bad team. It's just so frustrating.

Our defenses #1 priority is not giving up big plays. In turn they get no turnovers.

Yep and we've got to squash that. We cannot be so conservative on both sides of the ball.

This is for all the marbles right here. Have to play to win.

why are you and others still knocking Garrett, who in the NFL that is available is better? No one, in college No one, well maybe one and that would be Brian Kelley. Garrett is the right man for the job, you cannot find any successful coach in the NFL that has never gone through a tough stretch and lost 5 or more games in a row, every coach goes through something like this in their career
