What are your "I don't want to overreact to one preseason game, buuuut...." Thoughts?

For me, I think our defence looked much better than during the preseason last year.....and that was against depth pieces on a team that just won the SB. Well done!!!!

Also, I think Camden Brown may have won a roster spot. Question is, who is going to have to make way and what can we get for that player?

In regard to Brown....be realistic. We have the top 3 and that isn't changing. Turpin is probably #4 because of his job returning kicks and punts. Spot 5 is up for grabs easily and that is assuming they don't keep 6. They aren't gonna keep MVS over Brown. Mingo? Probably not. He is in the last year of his contract with no guaranteed money. Keep the younger guy with upside. No one else has splashed to Brown's level. I think he is a lock for WR 5.

I think MVS probably stays, but I could see Brown being safe because Mingo goes. I think Turpin has a special role at KR, but, honestly, id be curious about Brown on returns too. But yeah, I could see Brown at #5 and MVS at #6.

I think he needs to keep showing what he showed tonight. If he disappeared in the next two games and Mingo had performances similar to what Mingo did tonight, then Mingo probably gets the fifth spot. Right now, I don't really see any other competition for it, though. Anthony Smith has some edge as a draft pick, but he needs to show more.

Certainly, Brown will need to keep performing like he did today. But if he can, I think he really gave himself a chance to where, I'd hate for us to cut him and he flourishes with a other team.

Pickens, Lamb, Flournoy, Brown, Turpin, there's simply no room or reason for Mingo.

Defense looked well coached. Tackled well, faster to the ball. Guys were making plays even if it was depth pieces and some of them won't make the team. Backup QB room looked slightly more polished. A little better depth at receiver than in years past as far as end of the bench guys go. Signed guys like Tyler Johnson and MVS who have actually played in the NFL.

And honestly, I saw some physicality on defence too. That was nice to see.

Russ, I was really impressed by the defense. I know they we're 2nd/3rd stringers.

But we got a picture possibility, of what 26' might look like.

THey didnt look lost out there, ran to the ball, got off the blocks ..etc.

CP is doing the work.

Agreed, now, if we could get Von Miller in there, especially since he knows Parker's system from Denver, we might be able to make this an elite defence. If we are elite across the board and stay healthy.....oh boy!!!!
