I expect a signing or player trade soon just for the fact that Jerry Jones can't handle negativity surrounding the Cowboys.

And I think there's a strong stench of negativity around the Cowboys today with the releases of Roy Williams and Terrell Owens.

I expect a move fairly quickly in an attempt to turn around public perception.

I'd really like a key trade or free agent signing too, but simply signing Ware to a long term deal might just cover that positive public perception angle you are talking about. There's also the draft, which usually gets fans excited. Plus, you've got the new stadium coming on line....

And Ellis only started because "Mr Nice Guy" didn't have the guts to tell him to sit down.

Spencer was playing well with the opportunities he did get.

I'd send Ellis packing and get a mid-level veteran LB like Roosevelt Colvin, Antwaan Peek, or Jason Babin for depth.

Hes NOT capable of starting because hes shown he can't stay healthy.

Look at Anthony Henry he showed us he couldn't stay healthy so we got rid of him.

With what money ?

We just burried nearly 12 mills so now we are 2 mills under the cap.

And i don't think this really created negativity. It's more like a wakeup call for the team. Reminds me a bit of the way Jimmy Johnson treated the players. I think it's the right way.

But that is still only reporting on the alleged release. No confimation from the Cowboys or Rosenhaus. Although Cowboy players have been in text contact w/Owens who appears to confirm it.


It just seems sort of surreal, its not like Jerry to shun publicity. Like some early April Fools joke.

Removing Owen's salary and charging the remaining signing bonus cost the team less than $1 million so it's essentially a wash financially.

OK. I just read it by myself. I forgot that his total salary for this year already counted against our cap - sorry.

You are right. The way it is (with still having 14 mills of cap space) i also could see us signing another 1-2 players.
