He's right. One common attribute among A&M fans is their constant need to place themselves above others based on the reputation of their academia and mediocrity in just about every sports category. Doesn't stop them from trying and put down others though. Is "How to be an obnoxious Aggie butthole 4301" a class?

Your athletics are overrated and you're a B school that has a few decent majors. Cut the crap.

If the Aggies are mediocre in just about every sports category where does that put the rest of the Big 12? TAMU has been the top Big 12 team in Directors' Cup standings the last two years and second behind Texas the three years prior. If that is mediocre then the Big 12 must be full of sub-par teams.

The only school I'm placing us above in this discussion is Baylor.

As for your last comment, our athletics as a whole are strong, best in the Big XII in fact if you buy into the Director's Cup rankings. Our football program is overrated and bringing up the rear. The "B school" comment is just ignorant, we're a top 20 public university in the United States with eleven different majors that rank in the top 10 nationally:

For all the accolades and rankings you claim to have I know one thing you don't universally merit or achieve and that is respect.

Among academia and in the working world, A&M is very respected as evidenced by the incredibly high % of first year graduates who are employed and the high starting salaries, as well as the incredible amount of research we produce.

Athletically, few outside of Texas give a damn about us one way or the other. I'd wager many don't even know what city our school is in. Within Texas, we have a bad reputation among some just as Texas and Tech do. Texas fans are often perceived as arrogant and bandwagon, Tech fans are just flat out mean at times. Our stadium experience, much like Texas', is always held in high regard by visitors however. As long as we arent abusing other fans like Tech does, I don't eally care what others think about our teams or fanbase.

The US News Rankings have over 400 schools on their list, and that isnt nearly all of the colleges in the US. Now, given an average grade distribution with 20% As, 20% Bs, 20% Cs, 20% Ds and 20% Fs and factoring in only the schools they rank, that means that the top 80 schools would be "A schools". By your criteria, UT, Penn State, Wisconsin and many other acclaimed universities are B schools.

Of course, we all know what you mean by saying "B" school, and it is meant to be very unflattering and it simply isnt true in either context.

The grading criteria also involves alot of self evaluation and honor system, as we've seen by their fanbase, Aggies like to think pretty highly of themselves.
