I said it here 2 weeks before the Philli game.

If I'm wrong feel free to bash me all you want.......But that's not happening, I was right about BArber and I'll be right again.

Peace.

I hope so cause Barber is gonna take his job if he doesn't return to his old self, not that i would mind Barber replacing him.

JJ knows he has a fight on his hands- and he must be chomping at the bit at the way the O line has started to run block.

Julius won't lose his job due to his on the field play ... but if he can't stay on the field, then that's another issue.

I'm not totally sold on Barber either ... two games against weak D's. If he dominates the Eagle and Commanders, then I'm ready to jump aboard.

wow, I just had the worst Troy Hambrick flashback. Remember how after T-Ham had a good game, everyone was saying Emmitt should look out?

I like BArber always have....But that JJ we all seen last year was untouchable.

And like many have said, this has opened up a nice competition for teh RB position. This is a VERY VERY VERY good thing. It will open up both runners and it will show who wants it more.

I have said a ll along JJ looked wrong somethign wasnt right, weather it was his running style or he was nicked up.

But trust me after seing his competition he will say to himself:

" ok JJ u aint about to lose ur JObe, nAAAA helll naaa!!".

He will open up his game and run like he did last year...Nomore fear of losing the ball, just fear of losing his srating job.

GOD I love this game.

Run for daylight and too hell with BP's BS about negative plays.

I think JJ will return with avengeance.......Barber should have given him all the incentive he needs with his performance yesterday and folks that isn't at all bad.

It's been a few years since we have had the quality RBs we have on this team this season.

Parcel said in his press conference that you can never have too many running backs in the NFL. He was impressed with what Denver was able to do yesterday with two good running backs.

I remember Parcell saying last year that he wanted to reduce the carries of JJ to 20-25 carries per game. That would leave room for Barber to get 10-15 carries per game. That leaves 3-5 carries for Thompson on an occasional basis.

I'm not really sure why Jones isn't playing, as the day of the "injury" he was begging Parcells to get back into the game, and the next week he said he was ready. Something must have happened, perhaps he moouthed off to Parcells or something.

Anyway, what would happen if both JJones and Barber III were both to appear in the backfield, say as in a T formation (minus Polite). While most NFL offenses feature a lead blocker, many don't, and if the line is dominating the line of scrimmage, maybe one wouldn't be needed. Both JJones and Barber III are very similar, both are able to bounce outside, although JJones seems to be the stronger of the two up the middle. I can envision a fake to JJones up the middle, and a toss to Barber III heading into the flat. Might make for some interesting defensive matchups.
