I dont understand why folks always make these reactionary threads. Who cares what someone outside of this team, outside of this division, had to say about another guy. What are we gonna have a thread each time someone makes a comment like this and compare it to Hatcher?

Probably so and it'll make me chuckle every time because the people who seemed to be really offended by what Hatcher said, and made all kinds of noise about how terrible it was and how you'd never see "X" player, with their heart and drive and what not, say something like this...yet they remain realitively quiet in these silly threads that show some of those other players, who would NEVER say such a thing, saying such a thing.

I would think if you climbed the mountain and were confident you would not care who is in the NFC

Well when you're a champion, you ALWAYS get a free pass to say whatever you want about your competition because you've got credibility and respect. It's always been like that, for every team, every player *Shrugs* That's how pro sports is.

This is ridiculous in the first place. We're comparing a Super Bowl MVP to freakin Jason Hatcher!

Not comparing the 2 men only what was said. People here throw a hissy fit over Hatcher but hey all other players can say things like this and well it is alright. It is called being hypocritical that all it is

Yeah, that makes Aaron Rodgers more of a loser. Instead of having the confidence to face any challenger, he's cowering like "freakin' Jason Hatcher."
 
The difference in JPP (I think) and Rodgers saying it is: They both have identities Rodgers one of the best Os in football and he is a great competitor. JPP and the Giants have one of the better D lines in football known as nasty. Our D is/ hopefully was one of the worst and seen as soft. So when a soft person says they dont want to compete a great competitor it seems soft. A great says it just passed off as a compliment to that player. Just my view of it.

Come on, it is players showing respect to the player they were talking about. Hatcher or Rodgers or Tuck making these comments there not one bit of differance. In the case of Rodgers it was Mario and in the case of Tuck and Hatcher it was Peyton Manning. Some Cowboy fans threw a hissy fit acting as if it showed Hatcher as weak and scared.
 
Silly fans.

This is just a sign of respect. Not real genuine fear.
