Our two first round picks were for a DWare impact DE and a ready to play bigger LB like rookie LVE, or a non-injured Sean Lee. In the 2nd round, we selected a ready to play safety like Darren Woodson. This type of trio is what this teams needs plus two free agent solid defensive players. This infusion of five impact players will transform the defense

Did you also dream that Jimmy Johnson was still the coach? Someone like him, who's not a Jerry puppet, is what it's going to take to get this team back on track.

Then you woke up to a nightmare
Stick to quarter curb tossing and stay in the street, then... :omg: Or don't eat before bedtime.

That some more prophecy or just plain pessimism? This defensive production is more of a new staff problem.

Bull jive......the defensive (lack of) production is the talent level of the players.

We'd actually have to have competent players before judging the staff
That is just part of normal process unless wishing upon a star.

Explain the actual status at present after last four seasons being one or the better in the NFL. Bad luck?

Tell us now actual descriptions and this is a first year defensive staff. You present little more than frustration and scorn. That is your opinion...not mine.

I once had a quality black bull that was bred when my cow jumped the fence and got bred. We called him Herman.

Bull jive was when he tried to play around with my wife by bumping up to her playfully. Actually funny...

I didn't have to pay stud fees. Cows paid for the property and hogs paid for running it. Now teach me something really involved with the structure of a football team beyond your own skepticism.:flagwave:

You know, I realize we need to fix our defense ,and we think it's a mix of mostly the scheme but a little bit of the talent,

I could tell you this right now Dan Quinn for three straight years here did more with less, sure they sacrificed the run game ,and in some of the bigger games ,we lost, but at least our defense had an identity and he made it work with very similar players, with very similar rosters..

I realized we lost Parsons at the last minute that wasn't fair to Matt and nobody really saw it coming, I don't think anybody knew until the trade happened that Parsons wasn't going to resign, it's just a relationship just went south in a hurry, neither side could take it anymore ,they both tried to play that game and in my opinion you know the Cowboys lost a great player ,that's going to be hard to replace but we haven't had time to replace him yet that would be in the draft the timing was terrible...

But 75% of the problem is not the roster it is Matt not being able to figure out how to use what he has best I used to love the show Chopped before it got too redundant they took all these weird ingredients and asked these chefs to compete against each other to come up with their own unique meal and most of them pick different meals to make out of the same ingredients but they were really low level ingredients they're trying to make a 5 star meal Well Dan Quinn did that really well..

You should let Herman post for you.

Agree. Blaming the staff for this is like blaming a good chef for not making high quality meals but only giving him dog food to cook with.
The statement was contingent upon a new staff. Sorry the last Head Coach took a year to start his run of 12 wins for three straight seasons. Reconsider the stance presented to myself by you two.

Don't instead try in place blame on Jerry and talent alone.

participation trophies impress you

we have both a coaching and talent problem; and its not all on the DC as I am not terribly impressed by any of our position coaches on D
talent is an obvious problem to anyone not a homer

Your Dear Leader incompletely traded away Micah Parsons for a washed DT and a couple of second round picks. That explains the precipitous drop-off in large measure.

Got any other comparable questions?

You want me to explain to you why you shouldn't barehand touch a pan that just came out of a hot oven?
