I'd love to be a 4 handicap.

I'd love to be anywhere in the single digits.

When my game from 100 yards in improved my scores started dropping from the mid and upper 80's to the 70's. Best rd I have ever shot has been -1 but on that day it seemed as if my whole game was on from tee box to green.

I carry an 8 handicap today but play on a rather wide open course and not overly long and It's is very scoreable. I have shot in the 60's a few times over the years.

Most Memorable round ever was from the Pro Tee's a week before GHO at the TPC River Highlands in CT as we were a corporate member back in the day....... The front 9 is tough as heck and long and if you get in rough it's game over but for whatever reason I ate up and loved the back nine. I had the round of my life that day and knocked in four birdies including a long birdie put on 8 followed by an 8 Iron to tap in on 9. Shot a 1 over that day on a PGA course setting throwing 4 birdies on the scorecard. Let it also be noted on bad days I shot 90-100 there a few times also. It was one of those days where I was crushing drives in play and the irons were not missing. What keeps us coming back!

Huh.

Sometimes its the stupidest things.....

Fixed the swing last night. On the 3rd hole, I figured it out.... Had I known this, on say....Sunday.... I'd bet my life that I would have broken 40.

Not so much frusturated anymore more than annoyed.

Such a great round, potentially..... and it was wasted.

Just a question guys but have you tried the GPS skycaddie? I have been using 1 now for about 1 year and I tell this device is extreamly accurate on yardage and has been a big help in determining distance.

How much does it cost?

I use the ol eyeball/feel test. If I "feel" I can hit a certain club a certain yardage, I'll do it. Sometimes I am wrong; sometimes I am right.

Last night, I was wrong. 190 from the rough is was too much for my 6 iron.

Shoulda hit a 5 iron there.

They are right around 100 dollars for the unit. I pay 20.00 dollars a year for all golf courses in the US and can hook it up to my pc to down load the courses I plan on playing. I was a bit hesitant at 1st about getting it but it had great accuracy and I admit I don't judge distance as well as I once did. The other great thing is it gives you yardage from tee box to water hazards or fairway bunkers so it makes the ideal of going for it or not a bit easier.

Sounds pretty sweet.

The only thing that worries me is that when I am at home, I tend to play courses in small towns (I am from a small town and surrounded by small towns). As in towns the size of 1000-2000 people. Would those courses show up to?

Its not a problem when I am in Milwaukee, seeing as its a city....
