Well, you see the TV in the background, and the Wii? What you don't see is the Xbox, PS2, Xbox 360(w/HD-DVD), PS3, DS, PSP...and the Mustang outside in the driveway.

She likes toys that transform. I like toys that do a lot more.

I gave my wife 2 kids thats all the toys she needs or is going to get. Try real life action figures there more rewarding. and they can wipe your *** when your old, Your wife's toys not only wont be any investment they break.

I don't get the transformers things but I gotta say that if he get's thing he wants than it is fair for her to get what she wants.

I know I complain about the wife and cell phones, she also has/had a great deal of jewelry.

But at the end of the day she lets me get guitars when I want and even surprised me one year by getting me one for christmas.

So it is a give and take.

I guess the difference is it just seems odd for a grown woman to want to collect transformers stuff.

You could flip that around to say it's odd for a grown man to collect Cowboys stuff. Like you said it's give and take and we all like our toys.

Mine are electronic, but I'm cheap too. The two don't always go together. I bought a 12-disc CD changer and radio...and cried at the cost. But I really wanted it, so I got it.

I want a HD DVR, but I want the cost to go down a bit more. It's about right where I want it. There's an entertainment center I want to go around my TV, but I'm putting it on my birthday wish list.

In the meantime, I'm gonna keep buying stuffed footballs.

I tell you what sucks.

When there is a new electronic device you really want so you buy it when it first comes out. Way too expensive.

A few months or a year later you see the exact same product for 1/3 or 1/4 the price you paid for it.

Argghh...I bought one of the first CD/MP3 players by Rio when it first came out. WAY too much for it. Now you can buy them about as cheap as you can a regular cd player.:bang2:

Man, that's so true. I got a Dell Pocket PC when it first came out for $300+. I was the coolest person in class. Everyone oohed and ahhed.

Two years later, I go to class and everyone has blackberries and laptops. I'm just one of the crowd now and my Pocket PC is outdated. :(

Don't be so sure about them not being any investment. We've sold a number of them in the past few years for a good profit, some of them over 7 times more than we payed for them. At last years Botcon we purchased the exclusive figures for a total of about $800 ($500 of that was the cost of the attendee packages we got which came with convention 5 figure box sets, so it was for more than just the figures), and before we even left the convention we had sold them all on ebay for over $1500.

Yes I understand Convention figures always go for ridculous amounts of money but it doesnt last, I have so many SDCC exclusives that im sitting on sell them fast before the next "big thing comes out" Buy the stock not the toys, Marvel made me a very rich man. Gotta love it, My wife thought I was nuts when it was a $1.00. "there going to go bankrupt" She said- Uh-huh.
Listen to me Honey and you will go FAR !! Theres a few things I know but what I know YOU can count on.
