I Hate Myself

I kept watching but I also kept telling myself there's no way Dak comes back

This kid is truly amazing. There were several times during the game when I said damn it rookie don't throw that pass. But when he rolled out and threw the last pass I had no doubt it was going to be 6.
He is flat-out starting to remind me of Staubach

I fell asleep at the end of the 4th. Woke up to a nice surprise.

Yeah -- my son went to bed thinking it was hopeless and watched the game on TV in his bedroom until the game was tied. Then, he fell asleep. When he woke up Monday morn, he was pleasantly surprised to hear the good news. It looks like miracle comebacks are making a comeback!

I've never turned off a game. Just can't bring myself to, despite some excruciating *** whippings, but I can certainly understand why you would. A lot had to go exactly right in this game and over the past few years we don't typically get (or make) those breaks. Don't beat yourself up too much!

If you have direct tv, and recorded it (with the 30 minute extension) ...
The dang thing ends just as Dak takes the final snap!
I crashed at the half, and got up at 3am for work only to be hosed by my DVR.
I broke down and checked the score on my phone, but it wasn't the same.
I always add 1 hour. Can't take any chances.

I stopped watching after that missed pass to Beasley thinking the Cowboys will lose the game.

This is the 2nd time I did this. The first time was when Romo came back in OT from that Buffalo game long ago.

Now I got onto nfl.com and realized the Cowboys won.

Boy, do I feel stupid. I hate myself.

Ur bad luck in bad games.

With Romo or Dak, you can never turn your TV off bro.

You didn't happen to turn the channel to the children's film "Heidi" by any chance, did you?

This is why I always set mine for an hour extension.

What made me the most upset is I thought I would have to listen to how overrated the Cowboys were and how great Philly was just because Scott Linehan decided to get cute with his playcalling right before halftime.

I left at 11pm also. After we were down by 10 points and had another 3 and out.

But being a school teacher, I knew how exhausted I was going to be in the morning. No way I could have taught class if I had stayed up for the entire game. There's no hiding for us teachers ... we're ON the moment the students arrive.

I missed a great game. There will be plenty more great games.

can't say I ever stopped watching a Cowboy's game, no matter the circumstances, but that's just me. Besides and over the years, I've witness many comeback wins where we were in much worse shape so add this game to your mental Rolodex (dating myself! lol) that A LOT can happen in the 2nd half of the 4th quarter

Lol, look for future reference if watching the game feels like a punishment you are authorized to turn it off ONLY if we are down 3+ scores and its the 4th quarter. I too realized I wasnt having fun, but despite our lackluster play I knew the score was to close to walk away. Now dont get me wrong I dont support turning off the game at all, however if we are being bludgeoned it will only piss you off. At that point sometimes its best to walk away and do check backs every so often lol.

If I was superstitious, I would say don't change ANYTHING. But since I'm not, I would suggest you grit your teeth & watch until the bitter end. I can pretty much guarantee you this year's team will never completely be out of any games they play. They fight for 60 full minutes. Just relentless.
In this case, 65 minutes. lol
