I Hate Myself

I stopped watching after that missed pass to Beasley thinking the Cowboys will lose the game.

This is the 2nd time I did this. The first time was when Romo came back in OT from that Buffalo game long ago.

Now I got onto nfl.com and realized the Cowboys won.

Boy, do I feel stupid. I hate myself.

I hate my DVR. I had a dinner meeting, turned off all my phone alerts, rushed home and watched the entire game and then the DVR recording ended 2 plays before the winning TD. I had to google the score to see if we won.

In all the years of being a Cowboys fan I have never turned off a game or left the stadium until the clock goes to 00:00 no matter what the score.

You should. You really should. The game was not over. You didn't get the memo that Dak is from another planet.

My son left the room right before the fumble so I told him he should probably come back in and watch

Seriously, you should just follow the burgundy and gold you fit right in. but I applaud you for being honest.

I always turn it off, then 2 min later turn it back on. Did that last year for the Giants.

Probably 3-4 times in my life I have but thats it. I'm fifty and have been a fan since I can remember.

I celebrate when they win and die a little bit when they lose. Not saying others should do the same but I will stick with the boys through thick and thin.

Yeah, about 5 years ago I decided I was tired of letting the Cowboys ruin by day and make me in a bad mood. In doing so, it takes a bit of the enjoyment of winning, but if they lose I am not in a bad mood the rest of the day and I don't have a hard time sleeping that night either, so it is a good place to be.

I can remember being that way. Now days after a loss it still upsetting but I don't allow it to affect others around me.

I was buzzed and had to call it a night. Nice to wake up to great news!

Early in the fourth, down 20-13, I just said "hold them to a field goal" and the Cowboys win. Down 23-13 now, I kept telling myself "Just two scores".

So I watched the whole thing; meaning over here on the east coast it was well after midnight when the Cowboys won in overtime. I was so excited about the win that I just couldn't get to sleep. It was the best case of insomnia I ever had.

my girlfriends dad did this. he has high blood pressure and it was just getting him mad. we called him screaming and he was like what? they won?!?!

pretty cool to break it to him when he thought the game was absolutely over.

If you have direct tv, and recorded it (with the 30 minute extension) ...
The dang thing ends just as Dak takes the final snap!
I crashed at the half, and got up at 3am for work only to be hosed by my DVR.
I broke down and checked the score on my phone, but it wasn't the same.
My game recordings are automatically extended 90 minutes. NFL games are so long even without OT.
