I hate the Eagles

Yeah...I'm on the same page with this. My fiance' gets nervous every time she sees someone sporting Eagles gear because she knows I'm going to say something to them...I hate 'em, and I make no secret about it whatsoever.

LOL. Same here man. I literally CANNOT see someone sporting eagles gear without saying something. Thank freaking GOD i live in the D/FW area. I'm going to the game on sunday, but it sucks because I'm taking my little nephew. Uncle Rynie has to be on his best behavior.

Love these YouTube videos from last year:

I didn't even take the time to read through this yet. I saw the thread title, and to the OP I just want to say....

I agree.

There only about 100,000 things I can't stand about the Eagles, but I guess the first of it has to start with this: their fans. I can't tell you just how annoying, arrogant, and idiotic this fan base is. I happen to live in the center of New Jersey where it's split between Giants and Eagles, and I can tell you that the Eagles are way way worse for me to deal with. This is a fan base that shows absolutely no respect for anyone and goes about it in the most scumbaggish way possible. These guys have never won a Superbowl, but you would be hard pressed to think that if you hung around here for about 5 seconds. Division titles, NFC Championship games are about the only things these guys can hang their hats on. They wish injury upon every player on the Cowboys, and make life hell for anyone who wants to sport silver and blue. I understand football is a harsh sport and its up to the own choice of the person, but there has to be a line drawn somewhere. The other thing I can't stand is disrespect for injuries when they happen. I don't think I need to tell everyone about Irvin going down and him being booed out of the stadium. Well earlier this year I watched Austin Collie get destroyed and looked near paralyzed when he was playing the Eagles. A penalty was called and the fans were booing non stop. Several minutes after the penalty had been resolved and fans could still see Collie not moving at all, boos still rained down from the Linc and it showed how disrespectful and terrible these people are.

The fans are the worst part for me, but I can go on. I HATE Donovan McNabb. Yes, I know he isn't on the Eagles anymore, but he has been a thorn in our side for over a decade and it's been terrible watching his stupid smug little face after he does anything. I can't stand the fact that in 1998 he was booed during the draft, and yet he finds it necessary to bring it up every freaking year and look to be pitied by everyone. Shortly after, he lee-ways into talking about how everyone is racist to him. Like he's had a hard life. McNabb literally went on HBO with Bryant Gumble and actually had the balls to say it's hard to be a black QB in the NFL today because of racism and mentioned Vince Young as an example (bad idea). Oh please. This guy grew up in a predominately white community and even went to college playing for SYRACUSE. Moving on. He doesn't hold himself accountable for anything that he does. If you've ever listened to his PCs, he always complains that he "needs better weapons" or "needs a defense" or some other arbitrary thing that will draw blame away from him. He was an awful leader for them, and definitely a reason that they didn't win jack in Philly. I may not have had so disdain for the Eagles if it wasn't for McNabb. He literally used to be the only reason I didn't like the team, and it was going good that I thought after he left I would let up on the hate until I realized that...

I HATE DeSean Jackson. Have you ever seen a more annoying ***** than this kid? He's so cocky in everything that he does and he gets HOF praise in Philly like he's the second coming. Let me just bring this up. He catches a long bomb against the Cowboys, and arrogantly flaunts his way into the endzone and DROPS THE BALL AT THE 1 YARD LINE. Yes, he roasted us on that play, but good grief I wanted to jump through the screen and punch his head into pieces. I can take bragging and taunting, but this guy takes it to a whole new level. I hate his little backwards struts into the endzone. Honestly it drives me insane. I hate that everyone makes him out to be some kind of god WR when in reality all he does is run straight and catch bombs. Woop dee friggin do. He's so lauded but does he show up to ever play the Cowboys? No, not really. That may change next week but the Cowboys have proven how one dimensional he is. If I may quote the little pecker, "sting they ***"

I can not will not and refuse to EVER EVER EVER give Michael Vick any kind of praise. He is playing out of his mind this year and that's all well and fine but I won't ever forgive what he did. This is a guy that killed animals for fun and money and was tossed into jail for 2 years. Let me ask you something? Who do you know that can be convicted for 2 years for a heinous crime, and then gets to come back and make millions of dollars again? Not many. I know people who go to jail for something small and can't ever find a well paying job ever again. He served his time and that's fine but he doesn't deserve what he has right now. The worst part is it makes Andy Reid look like a genius.

Last but not least, I HATE the Philadelphia media when it comes to the Eagles. They are literally the nega-Dallas media. Everything the Eagles do is "genius" and I'm sick and tired of hearing about it. It's like they can do no wrong. They have yet to win a Superbowl yet everyone is gumdrops and lolipops over there. Let me narrow this down a bit. I HATE Howard Eskin. They don't do the same for the Flyers, Sixers, or Phillies. They dish out just about as much hate as there can be for non-football teams and I don't understand the imbalance. (fwiw I'm a Flyers and Phillies fan)

Anyone else?

Haha.. we're alot alike man. I too live in the Philly area, about 45 minutes west in PA. I have to go every week dealing with people who come and talk to me like they are gonna kick our arses everytime they play us and how their the greatest football fans and about how great their team is.. when i know more about the Eagles than 95 percent of their stupid *** fans who barely even follow the team enough to know who the bottom half of their roster consists of. Idiots.. almost all of them.

As for Eskin.. the guy is a little punk. Nothing more. Even people in Philly hate him lol. I remember a couple years ago before the Phillies went to their two World Series in a row and Eskin was hating on Charlie so much that Manual finally said, if you've got a problem we can go in my office and "talk about it". Eskin backed down like a little ***** and then tried to play it off like he was just being a good person. He's a ****stain in the big picture of the city. Worthless human being.

As for McNabb, he was never much of a leader, but a great QB in my opinion. Got the Eagles to 8 postseason appearances and i think 5 NFC title games in 10 years.. most of the time with ZERO run game and average at best WR's around him. James Thrash, Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mitchell.. ugh. I have respect for how he played the game and his ability, but he was terrible for the locker room and one of the biggest whiners ever.

Speaking of whiners.. "D Jax". Biggest mouth on the littlest body that i have ever seen. He's done next to nothing in this league so far, yet he talks like he's the baddest man on the planet. Most NFL owners could stomp this guy in a street fight. Even his teammates are starting to get sick of him, after he recently made a comment about not wanting to run routes over the middle anymore because he doesn't want to get hit. His act is getting old quickly, and his teammates are even sick of the POS. Honestly I hope somebody on this D breaks him in half this week. He's trash.

Which brings me to Mike Vick.. honestly, i don't see the need for all the hate. Who do i know that can be convicted of a felony and still come back and make millions of dollars? How bout another Mike that we all love? Irvin.

The guy made a mistake. He should not have to pay for it for the rest of his life. Honestly we kill animals every day just to feed ourselves, so unless any of you whining about what he did are vegetarians.. lighten up a little. I don't think killing one animal for money and killing another to eat it is any less barbaric. Its just accepted in our culture so no one even thinks to question it.

Anyway lets not derive too far from the main topic.. i want to break D Jax this week and beat the snot out of him and his little buddies in Eagleville. Lets get it done 'Boys!

Yeah I truly hate the Eagles.....Hate their logo 1st of all..I hate the Pork chop on the sideline Andy Reid.....D.jackson is as annoying as McChoke with his break dancing moves in the endzone.. & most of all I hate the way they cheered for Irvin's injury....F the stinking spread Eagles

First of all, Irvin was never convicted....being a Cowboys fan, I'd think you'd know that. Then again....knowing your post history, I'm not all that surprised.

Secondly, while it may be convenient for you to say "let's not get too off topic", that's exactly what's going to happen if you take this road...

It's pretty damn obvious to most people why Vick's crimes are more heinous than Irvin's.....and watching people defend them is going to raise the hair on a lot of people's backs....myself included. Don't tell me it's akin to killing to feeding my family, and don't tell me to lighten up.....your line of thinking is offensive, insanely stupid, and does not belong on this forum.

I truly have been waiting to post something like this for a very, very long time.

In all honesty, an hour after posting, I probably thought of another page's worth of ranting against them, but I figured I'd be treading into "tl;dr" territory then. :laugh2:

You know what man, post it. Let it out. Get it off your chest.

I will read it. I guarantee it. This post was 4 aces and a King.

Couldn't agree more with this.

Vick killed dogs for his entertainment and pleasure. End of story. When you are scum, you are scum and Vick is most definitely scum and remains scum regardless of having been caught and spending some time in jail.

The Irvin injury

The Randall Cunningham fake kneel down

The Bounty Bowl

I'd love to beat Buddy Ryan with Joe Theeeeesman's shattered leg.

UPDATE 12/7/10:

So I realized there was a lot more I had to say about this team. Try and bear with me here.

I'm going to quickly revisit how much I hate McNabb. For me, there is no such thing as beating a dead horse with this guy. I was watching the Commanders-Giants game with my fraternity this weekend, and as I was watching McNabb do what he does best (choke), I overheard some Eagles fans going "Hey, McNabb why aren't you smiling? That's what you always do when you mess up!" How true this is. I know I already addressed this, but this is something I can't stand. People get on Romo's case for messing up and then doing some arbitrary thing that people have to piss and moan about, but step back for a second and look at McNabb. He made a career out of literally puking away games for the Eagles, and then just gets up and smiles, pats himself on the chest saying "my fault my fault". Everyone knows it's your fault you *******, the defender just returned your INT for a TD. In addition to his dumb post mistake smiles, his dancing is absurd. It's playoff time, and here you go out of the gate playing AIR GUITAR and dancing around like a monkey. Of course his little stooge DeSean is all in his butt as he's doing this.

McNabb Part III: Things I hate about his play: Around my friends, we refer to what Rape Fumblesberger does on the Steelers in reference to staying alive in the pocket as "The Ben Shuffle". I hate that he can't go down no matter what defenses do. It's a trait that I can't stand when it isn't on my team. McNabb's whole career was this. I would tear my hair out constantly because we couldn't bring his fat *** down. McNabb also gets praise as an accurate passer, yet he also spent much of his life throwing balls at 100 mph and launching epic dirt balls and then going into the post game press conference complaining about the need for "weapons". What a joke.

For whatever reason, I don't really have a problem with Reid, but I HATE his west coast offense. If I'm not watching a screen go for 30 yards every other play, I'm watching a QB friendly designed slant pass or roll out to throw for easy 10 yards. I refuse to believe every QB they have isn't a product of their system. They were able to make Jeff Garcia into a superstar. They were able to make AJ FEELY into a superstar. So no matter what anyone tells me about Kolb being so good or Vick being this monster QB, take them out of Philly and you have nothing.

I HATE LeSean McCoy. Why? Because his nickname is Shady. That's lame. Moving on.

I HATE their stadium. Lincoln Financial Field is a piece of garbage that breeds even more garbage from their fans. I can only hope and pray that we shutout the Eagles on Jan. 2, because when I go to that game for the first time ever, I may end up choking someone out if I have to hear their fight song. Hilariously enough, they've been "fighting" for 50 years. I guess that makes all of their fans veterans.

I HATE how Philadelphia celebrates a championship win. Now this may not be fair, because the Phillies were the first team there to win anything in 30 some years, but I'll do it anyway. When your team wins a championship, there is absolutely no reason to loot and pillage your own city. For crying out loud, I had to watch commercials of BILL COSBY telling people to stop the violence.

I HATE that my manager at work as literally never talked to me (this is actually not an exaggeration) without somehow managing to sneak something about the Cowboys in there. Oh hey can I get my paycheck? Oh sure, by the way the Cowboys are terrible and there's a new tax New Jersey passed that says all Cowboys fans have to pay them 50%!!! herp a derp derp. HUR HUR HURRRRRRRRRR. That's .00001% of the comments I deal with whenever I'm working. I blame this solely on the Eagles, therefore fitting criteria for putting it in this thread. :laugh2:

I HATE Merrill Reese. He's a radio broadcaster for Philadelphia and I have never heard a more biased talking announcer. I mean, most in Philly are, but this guy takes it to a new level. Someone try and look up a sound bite from him if I don't end up posting one. I'll walk you through a typical Eagles play compared to the visiting team:

"Vick steps back... he's looking, looking... STEPS UP ONE YARD HE'S DOWN TO THE 29 HE STEPS BACK 5 YARDSS!!!!!! HE'S RUNNING AROUND IN CIRCLES NOW!!!! VICK BACK TO THE 49, HE'S LOOKING AGAIN, SPRINTING FORWARD, HE FFFIIIIIRREEESSSSSSS AND ITTSSSS CAUGHT! CAUGHT BY DESEAN JACKSON! CAUGHT CAUGHT CAUGHT!!! ITS GOOD FOR 5 YARDS AND AN EAGLES FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRST DOWN!"

Visiting Team: "Romo steps back. He throws to Witten for a touchdown."

I'm almost positive for every offensive snap the Eagles take, Merrill Reese has an aneurysm.

I think this one is more personal to me. I HATE... HATE... HATE that I have to "fear" going to the Cowboys game @the Linc in a month. I have people coming up to me not to wear Cowboys gear or try not to cheer for my team because I might get shot or beat up my drunk people. And these are all serious comments to, I actually have people that are scared for me to go to this football game. This is absurd. Honestly. I have my mother asking what kinds of tear gas or tazer guns to bring with me (said in all joking though) and to strap up with a bullet proof vest. If that's what happens to be a fan of a rival team, that it means people throw away their humanism and revert to drunkenly violent and abusive acts just for supporting a different team, there is seriously something wrong with this city.

First of all its common knowledge that Irvin was a drug user and pleaded "no contest" to felony cocaine possession. His plea bargain got him off with no jail time. If you're going to question my knowledge have the facts first.

Secondly.. again, its not like Mike Vick was slaughtering those dogs himself. He was in it for the money. How is it anymore "right" to have millionaires who slaughter animals to eat them, or to hunt or fish and kill certain animals for sport, then to well.. kill certain animals for sport?

The only thing dumb about it is that our culture makes one of those seem ok and another not ok and people just blindly follow it. If you're offended then i encourage you to think about what the real differences actually are, because there are few.

I worked with this Philly guy, an egals fan, he told me of stories of the Philly fans that still haunts me this day! Even this guy hated the Philly fans at the stadium. He will not attend any more games after the story he told me.

He watched a family of 4 Cowboy fans get pelted with snow and whatever was available to throw! The family consisited of dad, mom and 2 children. One of the kids was an infant! He saw the dad guarding he's infant while being hit by beer bottles in the back! And this was after a Dallas defeat! Wonder what happens when Dallas wins?

You know the occasion when you are driving around in a city that you have never traveled to and your GPS tells you to turn left but there is no exit to your left..?

That's kinda like what happens when Michael Irvin's name is negatively inserted into a thread entitled "I hate the Eagles".

While my hatred of the Commanders will always exceed that of my dislike for the Eagles, I must say great thread, 187beatdown.

Vick's boys that rolled over on him claim he held the dogs heads under water. Vick denied it to the very end! He thought his boys were going to take the heat! He wasn't sorry! He was sorry he got caught! It's easy to say all the right things when things are going well for you. I'd like to see or hear what the guy has to say if some team wouldn't have picked him up. If he had to fall back on that VA Tech education.
