Next time you walk in and Mr.Eagles fan screams his normal salute Just hit him with this.
Repeat after me: Broken Wings and No Rings!!! Also, sing a little of their song, mockingly of course, as you walk away. They hate when I sing their song to them after the Cowboys beat them. If you didn't already know, I live in Jersey right across the Delaware river from Philly.
lol thats a good one

Next time he says that to you, just wink at him and say, "Well, if you think the Cowboys suck...then the Eagles swallow!!

;)

:lmao2:

I actually hope we play the Eagles 2 more times this year and slap 'em silly both times. That'll shut this dude up for a while.

You could also buy him one of these tee-shirts and see if they'll put a Romo jersey on the mouse.

He'll eat his words, walk in with one of those nice 5x super-bowl winner Jackets and ask him how many Rings the Eagles have.

Take your money elsewhere.
Let the owners nephew and the owner know that the money your crew spends can go to someplace where you're not degraded every time you walk through the door.

This is what I'd do.

I don't have anything witty to say although I enjoyed many of the posts here.

You owe it to yourself to tell him the truth. Let him know his joke is not funny anymore and you'd appreciate not hearing it again. If he is still a jerk about it then you know where you really stand. Then you either take the high road and ignore it to keep your inexpensive golf or go somewhere else. If you chose to go elsewhere I'd let the owner know why then I'd not show up for quite awhile.

Carlos, the next time he does that, simply reply "I reckon if anybody would know about "sucking", it wold be somebody from the "city of brotherly love"; it figures you'd be an expert on that sort of oral activity"...

Gay smack is the only proper response in this situation...

I would get an air horn and next time he says it sound it off in his ear. Then tell him, "that sucked, huh?"

Is this really ruining your life?

Dudes a ****ing jerk, get over it.

Listen to an ipod until to get to the 1st tee box.

Are you and I seriously the only 2 people dumb founded by this post? I mean seriously, grow a pair and talk some smack back or just get over it and ignore the guy. I don't see the "dilemma" here.

My apologies in advanced if I'm posting this in the wrong section as it's my first post since joining this phenomenal site.

I seek the advice of my fellow Cowboy fans as I've tried every known tactic to end this frustrating weekly happening.

I love the Cowboys, I have since I was 10 years old and I used to watch Danny White QB for the Boys'. I also play golf with my crew at least weekly at a local course that is just too good of a price to pass up; $18.00 for 18 holes.

Unfortunately, the clubhouse guy that works there (nephew of the owner) is a big time Eagles fan and every time me and my boys walk in to pay our fees, the first line he drops when he sees me is:

"COWBOYS SUUUUUUUCK!!!"

He guffaws like a baboon after yelling this statement and always says he's just kidding. He knows quite a bit about the game and we've talked in the past like two normal guys would about the NFL games and games we've seen however, he screams this obcsentity (which is how I take it) each and every time he sees me and my crew when we initially show up to play a round.

Now, if it had only been a few times is one thing but, he's been doing it every week for the past THREE years! I kid you not nor do I exaggerate my dilemma.

At first, it was funny especially when I would shoot back something such as, "Come talk to me when your Eagles get a ring." Or, "Really? If the Cowboys suck and they have 5 rings and the Eagles have none, what does that say about the Eagles?"

He's just one of those guys that thinks it's always funny no matter how many times you tell the same joke over and over. It's borderline mental disorder with this guy and I've become accustomed to just ignoring the somewhat offensive battle cry he feels obligated to share with everyone within earshot.

You can imagine the brutal verbal beating I took last year when the Cowboys got their tails handed to them by the Eagles 44-6.

So I come to this forum in hopes of getting some sound advice on how to handle or NOT handle this situation.

I've thought about switching courses and even have played on different ones but the price is just too good to beat considering most courses around my area run in the $50 for 18 range.

This past year when the Cowboys beat the Eagles, I went into the clubhouse with a big smile on my face but my guy was no where to be seen. Almost like he KNEW I was going to say something to him so he decided to call in sick on that day fully knowing me and my crew would be coming in. (They have my tee time at least a week in advanced so he would know when I'm playing.)

So, in conclusion I'd like to thank you for reading my post and especially thank those that respond to my issue.

Go Cowboys! Let's get ring # 6!

Easy solution. I'm a bartender and I've used this trick on Eagles fans many times at the bar. It always shuts them up. Just buy a pack of cigarettes, remove the cellophane wrapping from around the box of cigarettes and place it open side down so it looks like and empty trophy case. Look at the guy and ask him, What's that? When he says "I don't know." Tell him it's the Philadelphia Eagles trophy case.

I go for the ol' Visine in their drink, or if they are with a bunch of people and they pay with a card, I tell the guy outloud that his card was declined.

Thats what I am saying.

Dude is doing it because its obvious he is getting a rise out of it. If youre coming to an internet message board to vent about it I can only imagine what youre response is when he does it.

Don't be a McFly. When he says it next time look him in the eye, give him the "are you done being an idiot" smirk, shake your head then procede to ignore him. Walk out to he green.

There is no quick come back to get this guy off your back. Talking past SBs wins will not do it either. Most likely it will make him think you know less about football in general or Dallas because your only come back in SB wins. He will think you are a bandwagon fan because you use the wins as a comeback.

Start talking crap about individual players he does not like on the Eagles roster. Does he hate McNabb? Their weak secondary? LBs? Why? This will get he spun up about his own team. Once you get him to back peddle a bit then start to pile on.

Make sure you talk to him about the Eagles after they lose to other teams. Let him know you are staying up on his POS team after every loss.
