I would love to see my boy Demarco back but, if that doesn't happen, I would be more than ok with Marshawn Lynch in big D..lol. A man can dream... He will be a FA btw.

Murray had a career year. Someone will pay big bucks and not get their investment. Hope it's not Dallas.

He will not be back. If he were ever part of the plan he would've been used less.
Backs don't do well after 300+ carry seasons.

Agreed! There is an old article called the curse of 370, which tracks all of the players who had 370 carries or more a season. It does not paint a pretty picture. Paying him big money would be betting against the house. I think the writing was on the wall when we started using him as much as what we were.

No lynch
We need hungry guys on this team not those looking to get paid and resting on their laurels

I think Randle would be better than most guys we could bring in.
Maybe/maybe not. Really we would still need another back and go with more of a RBBC approach because I don't think Randle could stand up to the pounding for 16 games.

I love demarco and I will hate to see him elsewhere. But Im seriously fine going into next season with dunbar, Williams and randle though honestly. Rb by committee will work with this line.

I'm with you... take some of the money saved on Demarco and further bolster the left guard and right tackle positions - Dallas will not miss a beat. Have you noticed New England's 'RB-by-committee' efforts? This should be Dallas next season.

Big picture, I see it like this.

Lose:
Demarco
Carr (he is in the twilight suck stage of his career.. let him go)

Pickup:
Suh

That's a huge + for the Boys in my book. The two areas of loss can be shored up by next year.

Bleu - I am completely onboard with Suh but I'd be careful about Carr. We weren't exactly deep at corner and Claiborne is still a big question mark. If he wants to come back at a decent number I think we have to re-sign him. If you have any other suggestions in FA, I'd be okay with that but I think we relied a lot on intangibles this season and he was part of that. He loves it in Dallas, he has chemistry with his teammates and he's not terrible.

With other more pressing needs - Brandon Carr should not be considered a must replacement in my opinion.

The biggest shame is that it comes down to him or Dez. If we'd have drafted him a year later, and had one more year with the "new triplets" I think we'd all be feeling really positive about the prospects of the team for 2015.

Knowing we have to lose one of the biggest contributors to our success this year sucks, even though he may be reasonably easy to replace, it's not a given and takes away from some of the confidence going into next season.

I believe we retain Murray. This is Jerry Jones, this is the new Triplets... I hope he doesn't pass it up

I think people are overlooking this aspect. Jerry has found his new Triplets. He will try to keep them together for as long as he can

I believe there is a better chance of Murray sticking around here than most. But it will come down to $$$ far more than Jerry wanting to keep this new set of triplets together.

To me it boils down to this, is the team better or worse with Murray as the RB next year. I say they are better. He is only 26 and in tremendous shape with an incredible work ethic. I know about the curse of 370 but I think he is young and strong enough to overcome any wear and tear from this year.

I would hate to lose him over a few million dollars but I realize it takes two to tango. If he wants max dollars then he will leave, but if he wants to stay as part of the Cowboy family he needs to take a little less to come back. I'm not saying he SHOULD take less, that is a decision for him and his family. But if wants to stay, he HAS to take less.
