I have concerns about Monday Night

I think what concerns me the most is Greg Williams.

He knows Bledsoe, he knows him well!

GW is already a very good Defensive Coach, but when he knows his opponent at QB so well, he could only be better.

This worries me some.

It is going to be VERY important JJ runs the ball well. He needs a big game to keep GW from just teeing off and doing what he wants to do. Washington has a very good rush defense, and this is no given.

The other thing that worries me is we have had so much success against the Foreskins for a long time now, the law of averages have to come into play at some point. I would put money on the fact the Commanders spent more time game planning this game, then they did their opener against Chicago during the off season.

We are coming off a big win, and we are feeling good right now, which can be a great thing, but at times can work against you.

Special Teams are still a huge concern, and we can not continue to lose the field position battle.

All of these things I know Parcells is aware of, and I am sure is addressing, but it does worry me.

Over all I have no question we have a better team than Washington, actually much better.

I also think we win this game 20-16.

But I do have concerns!

For people who are going to the game. BE VERY LOUD! VERY LOUD!
Help inspire the team, and make sure everyone else is loud to! Get them out of their seats! No excuses! :star:

The Commanders definitely have a chance to win this game and I do share the concerns that you have.

I put my faith in BP's ability to keep players focused and hungry and not get too cocky.

If we were talking about Campo or Switzer, I'd be real nervous. With BP, I know he'll send the right message to the team.

We have to execute and do so early.

If either of them were still HC, there'd be no need to worry cause we never would have beaten the Chargers. Of course with them still as HC, the Commanders probably would be winning the series.

But also share your concerns. I don't think the players will be overconfident cause it is much too earlier for them to have a high opinion of themselves and Parcells will keep them hungary plus there lot of weaknesses on these team he must work hard to correct. We are a long way from getting to where we want to be--onb oth defense and offense. Our WRs don't have enough speed to get open quickly and that contributes to Bledsoe holding ball too long--maybe Price can help there if he still has quickness/speed. Too many offense miscues, too many LB & secondary mistakes, pass rush isn't there yet, ST, etc. The Skins defense does scare me & we have to take care of Portis (but he's not LT). We can get the job done so long as we don't continue repeat screwups.

I have concerns too. I'm not sure if I want beer and sausages or beer and pizza Monday night! Yikes.
Guys, relax. The triplets will be in the house and Texas Stadium will be NUTS! Yes, the skins have a good D. But so do we. I think the difference will be Roy, Ware, Laroi and the whole gang beating down Brunnel for four quarters.
The DOMINATION will continue!

We have to concerned about every game. Any team can win on any given Sunday. It's up to BP and the leaders on the team to make sure this team comes out fired up.

What if a guy has only one leg, or is in a wheelchair, wouldn't that be a good excuse?
:D

But I agree 100% with your concerns. Everyone is predicting an a)( whooping on the Slurs, and I am thinking it may be time for the football dieties to wake someone up. I am hoping we don't draw their ire down on us!

Not enough SPEED? What has Glenn got? Crayton is not a slouch either, neither is price. Methinks someone is a little out of touch.

I'm not that concerned...just dont turn the ball over and control their run game and we'll win...we probably wont have a run away type game but we should win comfortably...I'll be surprised if we dont win by 7-10

there's a big difference between the Bears skill players and the Cowboys

Those are all valid concerns.

This very well could be a defensive battle.

We may find it difficult to score points.....but so will they.

This game could come down to special teams and turnovers. Which is probably one of the reasons why K Davis has been placed back on the coverage unit.

Field position will be key in this game.

What I am most concerned about is our Kicker. He did not have to do anything in the last game. So he is still an unknown commodity.

Hitting field goals could be a very very big part of this game.

Too early in the season for this to be a trap game. We're only 1-0. If we were 5-0, then I'd be a bit more worried. I like our defense and offense over theirs.

I have my concerns as well. But I really LOVE the sig. That should be a shirt or sticker. I would proudly wear it.

Turnover battle is the key. If we have ZERO turnovers.. I'm not even giving the skins a chance.. Crayton, Witten along with Jones's running will neutralize their blitz. I don't even mind if Bledsoe takes a sack or two as long as he doesn't fumble or throw it up for grabs. Washingtons life line will be turnovers. We can't feed them.

The strength of this offense is in it's possession receivers.

Crayton, Key and Witten are all big physical recievers who catch the ball. I would also add Dan Campbell into that mix. He had proven to be a clutch player in short yardage passing situations...at least prior to the injury.

So it's not like we need a lot of time to get fast receivers down field.

So perhaps this threesome will allow us to do a better job of beating the blitz this year.

One of those guys is going to be singled covered with a 2nd or 3rd best cover guy.

So long as Bledsoe continues to make the quick read and throw we stand a good chance of consistently beating the blitz.

Yeah, well unless you plan on tailgaiting while the game is on, get ready to pay $7 PER BEER for a 10oz poured out of a plastic bottle into a plastic cup.

He may know bledsoe, but his hands are tied.

The skins defense is highly overated.

Many times in this game and this year, they will step on the field with their backs against the goal line. Not much you can do about that. If they give up field goals, chances are they still loose.

Myself I don't take any game for granted, I think Dallas has to play a good game to have a chance to win.

As long as the beer is wet and cold and we finish up with one point more than the RedScums they can use paper cups and charge what they like:laugh1:

I'm concerned, too. I hope they don't hit a couple of long passes on us early and take our confidence and the crowd out of the game. Our players are going to be mega-hyped for a Monday night game with the ROH induction... I wonder if Gibbs might consider using some kind of trick play on offense to use our aggressiveness against us.

God help me, I think I've listened to too many Parcells PCs and am starting to see the worst-case scenarios in all these games. :(

What I really hope to see is some early pressure and big hits on Brunell. That might take the starch out of them early.
