So, the playoffs are here and the regular season is over. For some reason, Cowboy fans are more pessimistic than ever. But the pessimism goes so far back that it has nothing to do with this group of guys. Sure, they made the playoff last year and got bounced out in round 1. But they're back again this year and I sense a different vibe with the members of this team.

As our luck would have it, we're playing Tom Brady, who has won more Super Bowls than any other player in the history of the league, and he has our number. But when the game starts, the past statistics don't matter.

What matters is, can this group of guys get it done against an 8-9 team in the first round?

If Jason Garrett were the coach, I'd have zero faith in this team.

But this is a different year, different group, and I think we've got as good of a chance as anyone.
I need some more of that faith you have because I feel like the Cowboys are coming up against a buzzsaw Monday night.

This team has not played well since the Vikes game.

Was struggling with Indy until a flood of turnovers sealed the win, then the team needed a 98 yd TD drive in the final min of the game to beat the lowly Texans, then they played the Titans practice squad against a QB who had been on the team like 3 days and they struggled deep into the second half to put that game away, and then last week was just a total arse whooping by Washington's practice squad and a rookie QB making his first career start in the NFL.

And you wonder why over 50% of this board has picked the Cowboys to lose to Tampa in Reality's poll?

This team for the last month has done absolutely nothing for fans to have faith in them that they can go on the road and beat Tom Brady and the Bucs.

Which Cowboys team is going to show up? The one that smoked Minny or stepped up on Christmas Eve vs Philly?

Or the team that struggled with Houston and Indy or utterly no-showed last week in Washington when the division was technically still in play?

This team is schizophrenic. They demonstrate elite potential, and then inexplicably crap the bed repeatedly and consistently play dumb and play down to inferior opponents.

The coaches and players all say the right things— but they need to prove it. CAN they beat Tampa? Absolutely. WILL they? Depends on which team shows up— and I have no idea who this team is — except that they are inconsistent.
This team is really good at crapping the bed. Very, very good at that.

Faith? Whiskey really takes the edge off. But if you haven’t stopped sniffing glue I recommend holding off on quitting until after the playoffs.
