I have never been able to understand the lack of respect for Malik Davis

Wasn't he an UDFA by Dallas? If this is right, the Cowboys didn't draft Romo, Pearson or Walls either. So why dies him being undrafted matter? Especially to this team

LOL,...my feelings aren't hurt. I want all of our players to perform as well as possible. I'm not a pet cat guy,......Im a TEAM guy. I want super bowl wins and could care less WHO gets them for us.

he is a veteran, solid, but nothing special. they want the rookies to succeed as each has a trait davis doesn't. neither rookie could do it.

Mafah's feet are so slow and he is a one cut back. doesn't have fast feet and can't get through junk and stutter step. blue is fast, but vision lacks. physicality lacks. doesn't really finish runs.

However, he couldn't handle the full load if needed. He runs hard, but he's smaller.

Maybe the coaches paid too much attention to the legend that is Blue Mafah.

Blue wouldn't even have made the PS if he hadn't won the underwear olympics.
 
It brings me no joy to say this but Blue just seems soft to me. Always has. Get him in space and he can do damage. The problem is in the NFL getting SPACE is a whole lot harder then in college. Just way less of it. To say the least. I actually think Blue stands a decent shot of getting cut to be honest. He isn't a practice squad type. I hope for the best for him but so far he just hasn't shown us enough to keep him around. Maybe he will at some point,....just not holding my breath.
 
Well there goes my one big take from the game.

I’m not sure how Mafah found his way ahead of Davis, but the “RB2” thing might be about semantics.

One of the two already mentioned will back up Williams. Then there’s the Blue role of a COP type back. Which is considered RB2?

Probably the Blue role, but not really because if Williams couldn’t go for a game or so, the winner of Davis/Mafah would likely start, not Blue.

I don’t see much that’s special about Mafah and he ought to pass through waivers with ease.

This is what I've been seeing even in their college "highlight" videos. So the "hype" surrounding each player was a bit surprising this summer. There will definitely be better RBs available via trades or waiver wire in a few weeks.
 
I think Blue has a role on this team.

I would go three deep at RB: Willams, Blue, and Davis

I like Mafah as a bigger back but we have a better version of him in J. Williams. Abanikanda has no vision and is like a robot running into the back of blockers.
