I have not been a vocal critic of Wade...but here is HIS problem

Wade does NOT stress paying attention to details and the little things. When you are up 10-0 with 3 mins to go in the half....and you have stopped the team from doing ANYTHING all day. How does that turn into 14-10 in a matter of 3 mins? This teams give up drives at the end of halves ALL THE TIME. You GATHER the troops....you remind them they have shut them down all day...and you need to finish the HALF STRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Complete what you STARTED. A coach that STRESSES the OVERALL impact of losing the momentume at the end of halves is a coach the understands how you can quickly lose you mental edge and give the opponent a chance to improve their sagging confidence.

another thing i didnt understand is, on that 57 yard FG before halftime, why was Folk out there and not Buehler? isnt that why we drafted him to kick long FG's?

I agree with your assessment but more than rallying the troops, these things must be addressed in everyday commitments. Stressing fundamentals, paying attention to detail, focus, execution. They happen in OTA's, in training camp and in Friday walk thrus. These are just not Wade Phillips attributes.

By the time you have to rally the team on the sidelines...it's way too late.

Your running back turns the ball over deep in your own territory. That's how. Would've been nice to stop them, but realistically you can't expect your defense to hold them every time in those situations. If you want to blame Wade for anything, blame him for the lousy tackling that took place out there. Then you have to blame DeCamillis because the ST tackling sucked too.

The tackling falls on the players...Joe D doesn't make the tackles himself.

That was the first touchdown we've allowed near the end of the first half since the first game against the Giants, back in Week 2. And we haven't allowed a TD drive late in the fourth since the Kansas City game in Week 5.

It seems as though Wade hopes the team is prepared to play and hopes the team wins instead of knowing the team is prepared and will win. He said last week that the team had the best two days of practice.

Maybe they are prepared and they just still screw it up?

I don't know how on earth the Cowboys couldn't be prepared when this has been drilled into them for about 5 years now.

At some point the finger has to be pointed at the players.

He is a sissy that coaches sissy football teams.

Bill Parcells wasnt and he was the best coach of all time at having a team prepared and they still made these same stupid mistakes.

Its the players.

But we'll fire Wade at the end of the year and just go through it with someone else and blame it on them.

You are right man, but you know the saying, its easier to fire 1 coach than it is to fire 53+ players.

Dear OP, I did not read your post, but I assure you, you could not have adressed wade's "problem(s)" in that short of a post.

Many of these players need to leave with him.

Unfortunately, the idiot GM has given several of them huge contracts which makes ditching everybody who needs to go next to impossible.

I was gonna post the same thing, if we are going to criticize Wade and Garrett for their players not performing, someone has to point a finger at DeCamillis.

In the end, he's the guy overseeing field goals, kick coverage units (which couldn't tackle a 7 year old girl today), and a return game that has been completely inept all season.

You're 100% correct.

But several of those players are not here anymore, and those that were are much more experienced.

I have zero faith in Wade as a head coach, and outings like this make it even more likely that he's gone at the end of the season.

I've said this so many times I'm becoming sick of it...but we can beat any team if we play to our potential. But we never do. Like Parcells said, "Potential means you aint done ****."

I'm not saying we will (and seven hours ago I'd have said it was impossible) but if we finish 9-7 again there needs to be SERIOUS changes in Dallas.

I dont know if its coaching.......I guess that will be the easiest solution but I just dont know if it is.

Too many times Ive seen the supposed talented team make dumb plays....miss easy tackles....make too many stupid mental mistakes.

I think in two losses....Barber's fumbles really took the sails out of the team. Is that coaching? or is that the mental makeup on some of our players?

Lets hope this team responds next week in SD

But it seems like Teams hate us......For some reason there is that hate ...especially the defenses........and I dont see that "hate" from our team.....it seems like we just try to execute and when things fail.....we lose any emotion we had.

This is a tough loss.....but should of known this was going to be a tough game.

The Giants are not any less talented then we are....and like the Eagles....its a dog fight whenever we play them because I think we match up evenly with those teams.

We have one of, if not the most passive head coach in the league.

How are we supposed to run an aggressive, nasty defense if our coach is weaker than a ****ing twinkie?

Whoever runs this defense next, I want their personality to be like Rex Ryan.
