You are right.

I don't understand that at all. When you are rolling and coming in to play a supposedly weaker opponent, wouldn't you look to crush them rather than just try to get by with a win? I would think that you would try for a 56-0 obliteration over a team that is struggling instead of a 10-3 win. Usually when we try to do that we lose a game we SHOULD have won.

I just don't understand the mentality of this team sometimes. :bang2:

...who leads this team when they are in full meltdown like last week...it ain't going to be Phillips...it ain't going to be Romo...who?...this is one of the problems with this team...Phillips believes that all players can be counted upon equally to perform at a creditable level of performance when all of us know from experience on the job that most employees are going to do enough to get by and unless someone is pushing them won't approach their potential as workers...the same applies here and the team as a whole suffers for it...it is the single reason why Dallas turned around a 3-7 season in 1990 under Johnson and nearly made the playoffs following four straight wins...he willed that team to the playoffs and they believed until Aikman went down...that's what i'm talking about...

...the word on the Cowboys is simple...punch them in the mouth and you'll get the win...

...some opine how this team is different than previous years but the thing that's becoming increasingly hard to ignore is how they are the same...

Not a great statement by Phillips for many reasons, cant see too many coaches talking about their previous winning streak when they were just embarrassed by an underdog. Although a lot of the circumstances were different, this game had the feel at least offensively of the Philly game last year. Total ineptitude. I'm sure that we will snap out of it and beat some of the pathetic teams that we are facing over the next few weeks, but it's hard to shake the feeling that in a big contest, any number of solid defenses can step up and take our offense completely out of the game. The squad has an entirely different feel than the 2007 team did to me.

My exact thought. Felt like the ineptitude we saw in the Denver game this year, the first half of the KC game this year, Philly game in 08, the Philly game in 07, The Commanders game in 07 and the Ravens game in 08.

Man, when Garrett's offense goes south, it really goes south. They go from scoring prolifically to putting up 6 or 7 points. That smacks of an offensive coordinator not able to adjust to what good defensive teams are doing to stop you.

If it makes anyone else feel any better, the Patriots are 6-3.

That's no consolation, sorry. :laugh2:

Prediction about the Packers: they stuggle the rest of the way and never duplicate the effort they produced for the Dallas game. They will see more Tampa Bay games than not the rest of the way. They beat us, so now they can rest.
