Is it really That Romo is just more clutch or is it that he finally has an OL to give him some time, tough one there. I actually turned the game off and went upstairs when the Giants were on our 4 yard line...thought we had blown it opening game. Wanted to read some comments on the board so went to the ipad and saw the comment "So who doesn't think Romo is clutch now". I was like holy crap and immediately turned the tv on and saw Romo being interviewed, a great win fellas.

I felt good, as the Giants were preparing to kickoff they panned to the crowd for some close ups. The first guy they showed on the jumbotron calmly mouthed "we got this" Heres to you jumbotron guy.....I was believing right along with you! :starspin:
I saw this too, and that got me more pumped. Also Dunbar not running it out was nice too. Lol.

I knew for sure Romo would pull it off, that guy has been clutch at the end of the games no matter how bad the rest of the game is going

When we got the ball back with 1:27 left, I had zero doubt in my mind that Romo would get us down the field in a position to score.

He was doing this before the offensive line was great.

...the O-Line does help though.

Interesting, because Roger does put Romo in his class...But hey, maybe you know better than Roger?

Not only Roger, but Aikman has went on record saying Romo is a better QB than he ever was.

Being the long time Cowboy fan I am, I remember in the early 80s NFL Films did a piece on Roger Staubach's last miracle against the Commanders on the final week of the regular season in 1979. In this film, it featured long time great Dallas Cowboys Columnist Frank Luska (RIP). When Larry Cole made that 3rd and 2 tackle behind the line of scrimmage on the Diesel, Luska made the comment,

"When Larry Cole made that play, SCHOOL IS OUT! Everybody in that stadium knew Roger was going to lead them to victory." (paraphrased)

So I will ask you.
When Dallas got the ball back with 1:30 left to play, how many of you were believing that... SCHOOL IS OUT?

Did you truly know Tony was going to lead the Cowboys to victory?

I was certainly feeling it.

To begin with, I figured Dallas would get the ball back with less than a minute remaining and down by ten. The instant Eli threw the incomplete pass and the Giants kicked the field goal, I told my wife "we're going to win this game". I felt fore positive then than I usually do in less difficult circumstances. The stars simply and perfectly aligned leading up to getting the ball back with 1:30 left...there could be no other possible outcome.

I did not. I don't put Romo in the same class as Roger Staubach

My confidence wasn't based solely on Romo, although Romo is, IMO, a top notch QB, it was based on how everything came together to get the Cowboys to that point. Getting there was more unlikely than scoring the winning TD. The impossible had already occurred...getting the TD was the easy part.

With the way the plays were falling, leaving that much time on the clock, yeah...I really believed he would do it....I think the Giants did, too! It was special, but we've seen it before....both for us and against us!

Felt like we'd either win or Romo would have an inexplicably bad turnover. Thankfully the former happened. I couldn't have dealt with a week of hearing about Romo being a choker.

Especially since you would have been the loudest one saying it.

As unbelievable as it sounds, I think the Giants needed to take a time out more than the Boys needed one. Romo and the offensive line were dismantling them.

I was still trying to believe how the hell we still had a chance to win this game! After Mincey's penalty and then a 1st on a 3rd and 15 to the 3??? Are you kidding me now!

The drive was just icing!

No doubt in my mind, especially against the Giants. Romo has had Game Winning Drives in 3 of the last 4 times we've played them.

It takes everyone doing their job to pull off a drive like that.

A WR stopping his route, resulting in a pick. A WR fumbling the reception. Similar to Beaz or Street. A free rusher drilling the QB for an end game sack, pick, or fumble. A lineman stepping on the QBs foot while he's throwing it (Denver game).. A pass that is off by 5-6 inches due to bad pass or bad timing..

What's always bothered me is the all-or-nothing attitude that some have toward this being the difference of whether the QB choked or not.
Any of those things could have happened, and you would have the EXACT same QB still behind center.

Glad they didn't though :starspin:
