I hope it doesn't get ugly around here if we lose...

That's as sensible as Dubya Bush thinking there will be Democracy and peace in the Middle East :D

I'm sort of expecting a loss, so a W may send me to overreacting, especially since our next 2 games are fairly easy. We win this game, those two should be wins, a 3-0 start could do wonders for a team's confidence.

If we lose badly and are showing similar problems to last year, as in constantly turning the ball over, secondary getting burnt, etc., I may be a little bit concerned.

I think Zman put it aptly...(a loss will send some into an all's lost spin about tanking the season and wondering on next April's draft; a win in SD will immediately put a few of the more rash ones into "who do we play in the Super Bowl?...." thinking). Happens each year, it seems.
I think we lose a close one, and really dont expect a win on Sunday. :star:

We need to win one of the first 2- not too many teams recover from 0-2. Given the choice of a win vs. SD or a win vs. Washington I'll take the Monday night W for obvious reasons. This is going to be a hard game. If we play with intensity and poise and lose it's ok. What will upset me is if we see a lot of penalties, particularly on offense. If you want to play a ball control style you simply cannot have illegal motions, illegal procedures, holding or more than a couple sacks if you want to succeed. The crowd noise that causes those kind of penalties is what the home field advantage is all about and why it's tough to win on the road. A big game from Glenn and a couple turnovers on D would be my ticket for a W. If not, we need to win Monday night period.

Thunderstruck, there were a million posts saying exactly what you are about Glover: That he was far too small to play 34 NT. But he's extremely strong for his size, he's got a great first step that makes up for his lack of size, and you can't underestimate his heart. He's one tough customer both mentally and physically.

That's why I thought he'd be the perfect 3-4 DE for our system. Oh well, not all dreams come true. :D

They won't run effectively on our 3-4 and Roy. Long day if they try. Fact is they are going to be behind and chasing.
