I hope that Seattle game becomes a throw away game, but I doubt it

Tony Romo said it best tonight in his interview after the game. They've stopped focusing on WHO they are playing regardless of their accolades or weaknesses and making their weekly preparation about the Cowboys and their execution and not the team on the other side of the field. Jimmy Johnson's teams did the exact same.

I remember it vividly.
The confidence was tangible back then.

You could feel it like a back scratch.
That team could go anywhere and beat anyone on any given day.

That's why I feel this team needs to start feeling that same confidence and they are slowly, but surely on their way.

At least I hope so...
I mean, no one could get that 1 and 15 season out of their head, and it was liking David and Goliath. We were a young team, and hadn't done anything yet. And that game was like a weak wolf pack taking over the strong wolf pack's territory. From there, we dominated the league. It takes a game like today to build serious confidence and to scare teams. Now I think teams are a little worried about us. Cowboys are low key, not talking much. No drama, just going about their business. Romo did something today that made me proud. Under the pressure of the lights, he went down and scored on NO under a heavy blitz to put the game away. A year ago, or 2 or 3, he would've frozen up and threw the game away.

The only thing I didn't like was how we let up in the third and fourth. You can't do that anymore. Keep scoring until you've completely dominated that team and took their will away from them. Houston is next and it's time to let the them know what we've been doing the last 3 or 4 years. Building a power house offensive line.

Seattle defense hasn't looked all that great. I think we can win that game. Ground and pound.

Houston is next anyways. Everybody was scared of the Saints too but this is a different team these 2014 Dallas Cowboys

As long as we are competitive with Seattle, I will be happy.

Sure, I would love to win the game, but not getting blown out and showing that we can play with the top teams is a good first step.

I think if we keep getting turnovers and dominating TOP, we can play with anyone - even the Seahawks.

Yes - exactly. TOP will keep us in every game. It's tough to blow a team out when you don't have the ball.

I don't think it would cripple us if we fell a game behind the Eagles. We play them twice in the last 5-6 weeks of the season. The division will likely be settled through those two games.

I think the NFL has botched scheduling by having divisional teams play each other twice in such a short span. I think there's a game where two teams play each other twice in 14 days. Dallas and Philly have a few more but still an awfully quick rematch.

Not that it really matters but it just seems a bit odd to cram divisional games into a small span when they could be spread out. 4 of Dallas last 6 are division games.

The Texans are our next opponents. They'll be enough of a test without worrying about Seattle right now. I'm hoping Romo can withstand their pass rush without anything seriously screwing up his back. Ditto for Seattle and the Giants, then the Commanders. Get the picture? Yeah, it's a tough grind -- all year long. Be glad he's hangin' in there.

Like if the Rams somehow beat the Eagles and we beat the Texans, we go into Seattle 4-1 and the Eagles will be 3-2 facing the Giants. So in that scenario, losing to seattle won't mean any much because the worst that could happen is a TIE for first at 4-2. But the rams ain't beating the Eagles so I guess we actually have to beat seattle LOL

I just don't want a game against seattle to mean a lot.

Right now, I'm not conceding that win. With this teams ability to run the ball, and play grind-nose football, anything is possible. Anyone know when was the last time Seattle lost at home?
