I hope this ends the drama about our QB

The controversy will end so long as he continues to play well. It's a performance based league.

That said if you were going to make the switch Romo would probably need at least 2 games to get ready for playoffs. I think one more good performance would close the book on making the switch this year.

Exactly what was special about this game? I saw him running around in the backfield a few times and throwing the ball with bad mechanics, couldn't read a blitz to save his life and allowed free blitzers to come at him.

The play where he allowed that free blitzer to his left and he had to throw a short pass to Witten was terrible. You can't allow that to happen, not even as a rookie. that's not even bothering to read a D, you might as well run out there with the playclock at 30 seconds and snap it.

This was by no means a terrible game, but let's calm down. It was an okay game, he had some good passes.

Hahaha.

It's official. Dude has a severe learning disability.

Now i kinda feel bad.

It didn't really change anything. We already knew from earlier in the season that if you give him an eternity in the pocket, no pressure whatsoever and 150 yards from Zeke, that he can dink and dunk up and down the field. It's what happens when he doesn't get those conditions that worries me. This had to be by far, the most check downs I've seen in an NFL game this year.

Ha ha, this bit is too funny....

Chris was mentioning that Tampa went with their bigger DL because of Zeke, while they normally throw out their quicker pass rushers.

And he also pointed out how the LBs were not dropping deep on passing downs, because they were so keyed into Zeke.

The pass to Dez over the middle in the third and long, the LB basically ceded Dez over the middle for the checkdowns to Zeke..
Yep. Every defence has to fully commit to the run.. meaning ANY half decent qb should make a lot of throws. By not giving Romo a chance the coaches are all but admitting Romo would win his job back. We will not win the sb with Dak as qb. Nothing I saw tonight made me think any different. Dak is a neat qb who reads progressions well with time and can hand the ball to Zeke nicely. Not a single throw he made tonight was elite/special etc.

We scored tonight on the back of three turnovers.. and it still came down to the D making yet another stop to end the game.

 Dude at some point you have to ****... and grow up dude. We just got to 12-2 and our rookie QB just completed like 89% on a red hot D. Tampa had been giving up 12ppg over the last 5. They made Brees and Russell Wilson look HORRIBLE. Try to have some perspective and not a MISERABLE HATER all your life. It's old.... way past old.

He literally checked down the entire game. You Dak slobberers are starting to get embarrassing at this point. He has an eternity to throw, surveys the field and dumps it. Freaking Witten had 10 catches for 52 yards. You're an embarrassment to this board.

Checked down the entire game? Your agenda is so blatantly dumb!.. You are miserable and a hater. Not only are you a bitter, grumpy hater, you've now exposed yourself as misinformed and ignorant to the game of football. Awesome!!!

The argument is how Dak has struggled against good defenses particularly when they can get pressure from 4 man rushes or blitzing with good coverage behind it. Dak rarely felt pressure against TB. So I don't know how that ends the drama.
But it should have been another huuuge test because TB had the best pass defense in the NFL. Oh well. It's like talking to a brick wall with some of you. Lol

12-2 with a rookie QB still setting records.

Dak is no Wentz.. Wentz from what I'm watching is horrible.. that is the true definition of checkdown.. guy throws ducks on intermediate as well..

But Dak is definitely on a much, much better team with a much, much better OL..

Sorry I think we would have scored 10+ more with Romo tonight. Just my opinion. I'm a cowboy fan so I support Dak and Romo.

Put Wentz on this team and he'd have similar stats.

Do people understand how QB friendly this offense is?

Or, he can actually watch the game, see a QB who literally has all day to throw and a great running game throwing a bunch of short passes... and not lose his mind.

Nobody is saying he had a BAD game. Heck, I'll give him credit on the accuracy... I don't care how easy the throws were, 32 for 36 is hard to do in drills. But this certainly wasn't a great game by anyone's standards, even his. It was just an average dink and dunk game by a dink and dunk quarterback.

I'm a Romo lover but there's no chance Romo should play. No way.

That doesn't compute with their simple thought process.

You can't love Romo and be fine with continuing to roll with Dak as the starting QB. Its too much for them.

There was a shot down the field with Dez one on one with a DB and Dak refused to throw it, slid instead. Romo gives Dez a chance.

Sorry that the Bucs D didn't give anything up deep. Sorry Dak didn't force it deep to please the haters. Lol You people are hilarious. Let's chastise a rookie with 12 wins. Will you trolls ever enjoy the journey? Probably not.

Oh I agree this team is very QB friendly. But I'm watching Wentz and that guy is throwing ducks not even under pressure on checkdowns..

I don't know what people saw in him.. he's like Cassel status last year..

You saw the all-22?

There was already a shot shown down the field of a one on one Dez, on 3rd down, it would have been best to give Dez a chance. Prescott didn't take it.

Yet again, we are back to step one. Short term memory here. I guess us getting our butts kicked against the Giants in playoffs will wake some of you up.

Dink and dunk won't get it done in a postseason game. Romo is able to push the ball better. What happens when Zek is shut down? Can Dak push it down field?
