I hope this ends the drama about our QB

You saw the all-22?

There was already a shot shown down the field of a one on one Dez, on 3rd down, it would have been best to give Dez a chance. Prescott didn't take it.

Yet again, we are back to step one. Short term memory here. I guess us getting our butts kicked against the Giants in playoffs will wake some of you up.
Keep making predictions. It has worked so well for you. Lol

We must have a ton of baby posters because the maturity level around here is pretty low. "Romo lovers," "haters," and "trolls......."

Dak was the ultimate bus driver today who counted on Zek and the D to win this game. There's nothing wrong with that if your plan is to make very little mistakes and let your superior D win the game. The problem is that we all hold our breath with this D. They played a hell of a game today and if they continue to play this way the remainder of the season, we can make some noise.

But as we go into the playoffs, we have to make plays downfield. FG's won't cut it. Dinking and dunking on 2nd and 3rd and long won't cut it. If my memory is right, Dak is in some pretty elite company with Weeden in terms of completion percentage. And I'll say this....we've seen Dak go downfield before. We've seen him throw the back shoulder throws. I'm wondering if it's by design that the coaches want him to be conservative.

Dink and dunk won't get it done in a postseason game. Romo is able to push the ball better. What happens when Zek is shut down? Can Dak push it down field?

Notice how when the offense stalls even the most avid Dak fans say to give the ball to Zeke and get out the way, and nobody is saying let Dak air it out..

Always the issue of offense, per pretty much the whole forum, stalling is going away from Zeke and things like putting Dunbar in on third down..

I don't think anybody in this league can stop Zeke at this stage of the game.. the guy looks totally unstoppable and teams are keying in on stopping him and they can't. He's seeing six man fronts now...

if i was a defensive coordinator facing the Dak led cowboys in the playoffs, i would put both my safeties in the box all game long and play press man coverage. This is what fans don't understand. We do not have an elite defense. Bus driving QBs have won superbowls but only when they have elite defenses. If you are a fan of the cowboys, and you want to win a superbowl, you have to go with the QB that at least makes you fear the long ball. Mark my words, we will face a team that will make Dak beat them. For you fans that say " well we won , so boohoo" you mean to tell me that the gameplan was to have the defense hold Tampa on the last drive to conserve the win? If that's out gameplan we will be one and done because as i said, out D won't win us games consistently. That is why we need a QB that will put the game on his shoulders and not a "safe" bus driver.

It didn't really change anything. We already knew from earlier in the season that if you give him an eternity in the pocket, no pressure whatsoever and 150 yards from Zeke, that he can dink and dunk up and down the field. It's what happens when he doesn't get those conditions that worries me. This had to be by far, the most check downs I've seen in an NFL game this year.

Nothing wrong with checking down, if that's what the D gives you then so be it. I'd rather him do that, than to force it and give the ball away. This isn't about stats right? Its about winning and if checking down and letting Zeke run the ball wins games then lets do it!!

I'm sorry but games like today highlight how much I want to try Romo. Dak completed a heap of short passes as a game manager. The bucs dline was too small to challenge our online and that gave Dak time.

Dak was fantastic but still hasn't shown he can open the field up with the deep ball or pick up the blitz accurately. If we had been playing Giants.. we would have lost again. I'm not sure you can ride Zeke all the way to the sb but we will find our.

He won the game and looked good doing so. So he didn't push it down field, would you rather have Romo pushing it down field and turning the ball over as hes done often, or have a check down game and ride Zeke to a win? We don't have to be the N.E. Patriots or the Saints to win in this league.

I think he did well. As I said elsewhere, it's hard to go 32 for 36 in shorts in July, so kudos to the entire passing game. But it took unsustainable accuracy in the passing game just to eke out a win. If you knock our completion percentage down to 70%, which is still fantastic, then you are looking at another sub-200 yard passing, 5 yards per attempt and zero big plays. So again, no one is saying anyone played bad. Not everyone is comfortable having a dink and dunk team that has to pray for 3 teams in a row in the playoffs that our OL can steamroll or we're finished.

I still know how rookies generally don't do good in the playoffs and have never won a Super Bowl... This game ended the QB controversy... But should it have?

We can only truly know when the opposing offense is actually successful in building a lead and Dak has to air it out. If teams can't force Zeke out of the game naturally via their own offense, then Linehan can have Dak sit back in shotgun all day like he has been doing with plenty of time to survey he field and then hit a short route..

I wouldn't even bother playing deep safeties that much despite the threat of Dez, play aggressive at the line and force Dak to air it out to see if he can do it before the season ends if your the opposing team.
