I decided to stop in and clear this all up. The draft this season is quite simple actually. The Cowboys:

1. will select players for offense, defense, and perhaps special teams.

2. will either stand pat, trade up, or trade down.

3. will make phone calls to the players they select.

4. Will NOT select any women players.

See how easy that was. :p:
It took you long enough to throw us all a bone though. That was cruel of you.

If I could have it my way, it would fall like this:

Trade down to the 26-28 area for a third rounder.

1> Aaron Ross (CB)
2> Jason Hill (WR)
3> James Marten (OT)
3> Zak DeOssie (LB)
4> Leroy Harris (C)
5> Paul Soliai (NT)

Of course, I can't have it my way because no one will want to trade up, so...

1> Robert Meachem/Dwayne Bowe (WR)
2> Jonathan Wade/Josh Wilson (CB)
3> Zak DeOssie (LB)
4> Ryan Harris (OT)
5> Doug Datish (C)

The TE prospect list is so poor that I wouldn't be suprised if we didn't draft a single TE but instead focus on a couple as undrafted free agents.

It is a miserable group this year, isn't it?? I doubt that even Parcells would take one on the second day this year...

The RBs aren't that hot, either... but it's been a long time since I've seen a WR group this deep... there might have been years where there were more studs at the top, but you're gonna find nice wideouts as late as the 5th or 6th round this year...

If Jason goes 2 TE more than a FB offense then Olsen could be the choice.

not exactly sure what you were trying to say, sorry;) .......... but Jason isn't going anywhere.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about Jason Garrett going with a 2 TE offense more often than an offense with a fullback. He wasn't referring to Jason Whitten going anywhere.

I do not understand the infatuation with Ross OR Hill. Ross gave up 7 TDs last season alone and was a big contribuiter on the 112th worst pass defense in the nation, and Hill had a tendency to disappear in big situations.

I agree. No offense, but people around here love to tout Texas players because alot of them are fans of the horns.

I root for the horns too somewhat, but that doesn't mean I want to draft em all.
