What are you kidding me Dorsett! Don't Ever compare Reggie Mr Hype Bush To the exalted one !!!!

When RB puts up TD's number's then we can mention him , And of course I do He was my favorite Player! I wanted to be Black because of him

Actually, for the screen pass, this is a very good example to use IMO. Reggie Bush is going to break the all time receiving record for RBs this season. In fact, he's going to shatter it.

That maybe true, But Is he going to rush like Tony? Is he going to have Tony's stats from rushing the ball from the line of scrimmage?
Please All this guys are supposed to be the next ---Whomever, This guy is supposed to be gale Sayers, I agree with you that he catches and runs but no way he is a Tony Dorsett, I still haven't seen a back like him in todays Game, Don't forget Tony weighed 185-lbs

Your right but there are 2 players that could of. When it was to late we did wht we should of did in the first quater when they drove on us and that is, replace AL with Carp, and replace Akin with Burnett and drop Ware down to a 4 man line with Burnett and carp rushing if the back didnt come out on there side, now in the 3-4 qtr's they finally did just that and guess wht happened?? They ran the same play again 3 straight times and guess wht 3 straight in completions, this is on Bill cause he has the tude that this is wht we
play and thats it no different look's nothing. You got Glenn, Newmen, Henry. Man up croward the line and say beat us deep cause u anit getting the underneth stuff.

I don't know. The original poster's statement was one specific to the screen pass. He said that with Bush in NO, it's like when we used to run the screen with TD. In that sense, I agree with the poster. Bush is a threat in the open field, off the screen, like TDs was.

How can we know his flaws? You are assuming he was in charge of the offense when he was here....that is where you are wrong!

I'm not sure that you are right. When you have a guy like Reggie Bush, you are going to look alot marter as an OC just because of that. Don't forget to throw in the fact that Bledsoe/Testaverde/Carter are not anywhere near as good as Brees. All those guys limited what we could do on offense.

Oh, need I remind you of our offensive line woes the last few years?

That's not the point, The point is our coaches never adjusted to their offense, do you remember the loins game in the playoffs 5 yards dink and dunks, that's what this reminded me of.

Actually, the Cowboys did adjust the offense. In the second half, Terry Glenn and TO began sprinting through the middle of the defense, creating openings.

Why we left the running game is more a mystery to me.

As for adjusting for the defense, we did that too. Remember in the first half Mike Karney scored three touchdowns on us because we were forced solely on Bush. So what did we do? We focused on Karney and opened up the screens for Bush.

The Cowboys had to blitz Brees because they hadn't gotten any pressure on him aside from the first series. And when we did that, that left Ware's side wide open for a screen pass.

The Saints just had our number. That's the bottom line to this.

Reggie Bush is a good back. Brees is a good quarterback. Brees has big receivers. Peyton knows the Cowboys' scheme and personnel. We have no pass rush. We abandoned the running game too early.

That about sizes up the reasons why Dallas loss.

Yes, my point wasn't to compare Dorsett to Bush; it was to show the similarity of each team's perimeter screen as a tactical maneuver vs the Parcells 3-4.
