Maybe He will turn out like E Walls. They threw at him constantly for afew games. He paid them back by becoming one of our best corners for several years

Then years later, a "washed up-Aaron Glenn-like" E Walls started for the '90 Super Bowl Champion Giants.:)

i really hope Reeves starts showing up and turns out to be another "Nnamdi Asomugha" from the raiders.

You know I was thinking the exact same thing! I hope Reeves becomes Asomugha.

Yep. One of his best traits is his speed, he was a 100 meter champion in the big ten in 2003 and finished 1 or 2 in a number of other events.

I like reeves and I am in a strange way looking forward to seeing him play.
I agree. Right or wrong, Glenn is gone now and there's nothing we can do about it. The youngster will have to sink or swim now, and it's kind of exciting in a way to see how he'll do with a lot of playing time.

You never know, he might just be a great swimmer.

One thing I just thought of: Mac Engel was on the radio a couple of weeks ago talking about corner depth and he said "Jacques Reeves is going to leave next year and get a big contract from someone." Kind of an odd comment for a backup who's never played much... But maybe the coaches told Mac something.

BTW, Reeves' 10.40 100m time is pretty darn good even compared to other fast NFL players who have recorded times.

Reeves was a track guy,
Off top of my head going into 2004 draft he ran a low 4.3's at combine.
I'm not saying that Reeves isn't fast, but he didn't run a low 4.3 at the Combine, because he wasn't invited to it. He ran a 4.45 at the Purdue pro day, however.

I think reeves will be fine. in the limited time he's played i thought he has looked ok. i don't know about being an osumwa(sp) thats some big shoes to fill there but i think he can be a solid 3rd cb.
