I read a story not long ago that many of today's pop stars are having songs written for them by one company in particular from Sweden I believe (where ABBA is from) who studied ABBA and their "catchy" music and has ABBAfied many of today's pop stars...

The result being that's why we're getting so much music that sounds alike.

Fun fact* The 2 guys in ABBA started Polar Studios located in Stockholm Sweden where incidently Zeppelin recorded in through the out door. Zeppelin and the guys from ABBA were at the time pretty good friends and hung out a lot with many of their goings on not fit for print.
